QUALIFICATION
1.Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineer from Indian university in the year 1988.
2.Certified Marine Engineer Officer Class-II- motor with dangerous cargo endorsement (petroleum tankers) since 1996 from Government of India.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 17 years of total experience from 1990 to 2007.

AREA OF WORK
Served on board merchant ships as a marine engineer and worked in all the technical area of the vessel. Merchant ship is nothing but a moving power plant with many kind of cargo operational gears which entirely depending upon the cargo (crude oil, products, bulk cargos, reefer & dangerous container, etc).
Worked on different makes and types of diesel engines (2/4 stroke) having BHP up to 36200hp,pumps, air compressors, oil purifiers, heat exchangers, A/C & Refrigeration compressors, steam plant with Work Press up to 40 bar and turbines for various operations. Also worked on various types and makes of systems like, desalination, sewage, Inert gas, hydraulic, pneumatic, corrosion prevention, cranes, controls (pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, electro-pneumatic and electro –hydraulic),fire prevention & safety, calibration, electro-mechanical, waste disposal (solid, oil, sludge & plastics), fuel and chemical(hazardous as well as environmental friendly)treatment.

EXPERIENCE PROFILE: 1996 to 2007Served as Second engineer, i.e. second in command for technical side on board vessel.

My earlier work associated with following ownership companies like National Iranian Tanker Company, Orient Express Lines, Socatra, Fleet Management Limited, and Tanker Pacific Limited. During the above mentioned period worked on VLCC's (Very Large Crude Carrier) with 300,000Dwt, Bulk carriers, Containers, Product tankers and chemical tanker as product carriers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* To ensure all works are done on time, safely and within budget by coordinating, planning, man power utilization, material and timing to their optimum opportunity.
* Responsible for safe operations maintenance of all machineries, interpret to the subordinates and provide technical assistance to the crew.
* Review works on day to day basis to the Chief engineer, similar to the post of General Manager.
* Plan and forecast for major works and follow-up material requirement for the same.
* Responsible for implementation of SMS, company quality policy and procedures at all times and levels.
* Ensure overall cleanliness, safe working practices and better working atmospheres around the vessel.
* Coordinate and communicate with ship staff, attending meeting, enabling accurate and precise information available to superiors on overall status.
* Prepare progress report, scheduling of activities to achieve targeted progress.
* Record and collect all relevant data in connection with normal running maintenance, performance, un- expected breakdowns and warranty performance.
* Responsible for procuring and recording of consumable stores, chemical and spare parts.
* Exercise monitoring, allocating or even modifying the jobs for all in the PMS programmes.
* Responsible for garbage management of waste (solid, oil, plastic & sewage) as per the regulation.
* Responsible for complying all regulations/requirements in connection with ISM auditing, USCG, P&I inspection, port/terminal authorities, OCIMF and oil major vetting in world wide concept.
* Ensure all emergency readiness of equipment and system at all times.
* Responsible for shutting down & recovery of complete plant (power, propulsion and cargo discharge).
* Ensure crew safety & skill by motivating and training in the best interest of the company.
* Responsible for carrying out all safety rounds, alarm checks and trips very frequently.

1992 to 1996:Served as senior engineer in oil tankers and container ships of Univan ship mange ltd.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Besides the operational part, directly responsible for maintenance of Diesel generators, Boilers, Air compressors, Sewage plant and Waste oil incineration.
* Responsible for testing and treatment of boiler water & engine cooling water system.

1990 to 1992: Served on oil tanker and container ships of Essar & Univan ship manage ltd, as watch keeping engineer.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

* Responsible for maintenance of all pumps, oil purifiers, heat exchangers and Desalination plant.
* Responsible for reefer container cargo system as an electrical engineer.
