Bolan Castings Ltd. Is Pakistan's Largest Private Set-up for Gray Iron and S.G. Iron Auto Parts Castings. It is subsidiary of Millat Group of Companies, the Manufacturer of Messey Furgouson Tractors in Pakistan. The production capacity of Bolan Castings Ltd. 25000 tonns of castings per annum.

First my responsibility was to manage melting department production and quality in newly installed division of the foundry. I ran the department successfully for 6 months.

Unfortunately the new division had not enough production orders to run it at full capacity. The management offered me the engineering and marketing department position. The purpose was to find international customer for new foundry. (Export)

I started digging out the potential international market in December 2007 and till date I am responsible for Export.

UNFORGETABLE MOMENTS DURING THIS TENURE:

A. Being member of casting defect control research team I studied the relationship of defects with different process parameters and found valuable relations that played an important role to control the quality of the cylinder head of tractor.
B. Sent more than 50,000 introductory letters all around the world, Received 35 queries from well-reputed big international assemblers without any advertisement, past reference or visit, only through internet web searching and contact through e-mail, and Sent quotations for 78 different Auto Parts Castings to 15 clients that also include the technical and commercial feasibility studies for each part.

CEW Faisalabad, Pakistan is serving as a vendor industry for heavy auto - parts and other industrial parts since 1955. It is manufacturing castings and finished iron & steel parts for tractor manufacturers, bulldozers, Defense vehicles, Sugar Mills Machinery, Cement Industry and others.

In August 1998 I joined my first professional job as a production engineer and received the highest position in Production Department in the factory of 123 workers and 7 engineers with my hard work and management capabilities within 5 months of my first-job! I left this job due to health problem in October 1999.

I re-joined in April 04 as Foundry Manager in the factory of 325 workers and 9 engineers.

UNFORGETABLE MOMENTS DURING THIS TENURE:
C. Cost Effective De-Phosporization of Nodular Graphite Iron commonly known as S.G. Iron through research & Process Development in 1998.
D. Being Foundry Manager in 2004, I focused my efforts towards PRODUCTION RATE ENHANCEMENT, REJECTION / QUALITY CONTROL & PROFITIBILITY ENHANCEMENT through ECONOMISED OPERATIONS.
I, successfully have increased the annual production rate of the factory from 1800 tons in year 2004 to 3500 tons in year 2005, i.e., nearly double. While at the same time the production cost has been reduced up to 9 % than before. The rejection rate of the factory measures the quality standards. I took over the factory at a rejection rate of 14% annual that has been squeezed to 7.0% annual.
E. Successfully Designed, Installed and Commissioned Cyclone Dust Collector, and Sand Washing Unit in the foundry.

Corrosion Engineer

It is a chemical trading company in Saudi Arabia importing chemicals from USA & BELGIUM, having offices in Jeddah and Riyadh. It is serving the hotel industry for house keeping, engineering and Water Treatment Chemicals.
I was responsible for the true implementation of the water treatment chemicals for bacteria, corrosion and scale control.

UNFORGETABLE MOMENTS DURING THIS TENURE:

F. I also set the formulation of seven (7) different types of chemicals locally here that were being imported before, which increased the profitability of the company simply three times.
G. Successfully under-operational-conditions sterilization of hot potable pipelines in Hilton Jeddah (5 star hotel, 250 rooms) Saudi Arabia, from bacteria. The main objective was sterilization of the pipe line against aerobic bacterial corrosion without any disturbance to the guests during occupancy period. So the sterilization was done with a special biocide under close control that did the job without any health problem / disturbance in the operation of the hotel saving at least three valuable business days of the hotel that were expected due to unavoidable shutdown in any other case.
H. Successfully controlled the corrosion / rust of the potable water heaters (brown water problem) through sacrificial anodes, rectification of multi-metal systems and chemical treatment in Jeddah Hilton Saudi Arabia.
I. On-Line Cleaning from rust and scale of Chilled water circuit pipelines of whole factory of Savola Packaging Jeddah. The circuit consisted of 90 m3 chilled water channel for 52 plastic molding water-cooled machines with three chillers. None of the machine was stopped for a single moment during cleaning or corrosion control preventive treatment process in 48 hours. Zero-Shut-Down-Cleaning & Maintenance!!
J. Potable water pipe-line scale cleaning of 14 stories building of Dallah Al-Salam Hotel Makkah Saudi Arabia having 158 rooms in 24 hours and 16 stories building of Dallah Ajyad Makkah Saudi Arabia having 328 rooms within 24 hours.
K. Corrosion control in potable water pipeline in Al-Murjan Towers Jeddah (14 stories commercial building) through incompatible material replacement and continuous dosing of corrosion prevention chemicals.
