* Coordinate and administer the sand and gravel leasing program, with accountability monitoring leases/applications/permits for compliance to terms, statutory requirements, environmental compliance and plans of operation.
* Ensure environmental compliance for entire leasing program and pending applications with specific attention to compliance issues such as air permits, renewals, and lease extensions.
* Utilize the GIS mineral database and computer modeling program while adhering to accepted industry standards, regulations, and internal policies and procedures to produce high quality graphic representations for current leases/applications/permits.
* Review and approve new and renewal lease applications, plans and reclamation plans based on mineral assessment studies.
* Evaluate bonding and reclamation requirements for each new application while monitoring existing leases for compliance to the submitted documents and legal requirements, and take corrective action as necessary.
* Conduct field examinations for exploration permits, lease applications, plans of operation and other mineral related activities, assuring program compliance.
