Presently working for Disney Cruise Lines as Environmental Officer, a well reputed organization in the Walt Disney Group of companies. Environmental Officer is a Senior Officer in the Deck Department who is responsible to ensure compliance to various Environmental standards as per the guidelines of IMO, MARPOL, US Coast Guard, EPA, USPH, ISM, ISO, Lloyd's and any other international, national, local regulatory agencies at all times. Responsibilities include but not limited to training of Officer's, Staff and Crew on various environmental issues, such as Hazardous Materials handling, PPE use, Waste Management, Chemical Management, Waste reduction and recycling techniques, Energy conservation and saving, Oil and chemical spill response training and drills, checking and monitoring of potable water bunkering and production, Swimming pool and whirlpool operation to ensure proper levels of chlorine and ph are maintained as per US Public Health guidelines etc. In addition to the above presently being the First Responder during any kind of emergencies, very familiar with the procedures to be followed and to control a group of people during crisis management.
