SUMMARY:
Veteran of the United States Navy Seabees (FMF), over 10 years experience as an Operating Engineer. During this time I have held several leadership positions including Petty Officer in charge of WESPAC Dozer Crew for the US Navy and foreman/temporary lead foreman at Browns Ferry nuclear plant for a TVA contractor. I have 5 yrs.+ experience as a radiation worker and operating engineer in the nuclear field.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
-Operating engineer for Holtec at Browns Ferry Nuclear in Athens, AL for Spent Fuel Storage project.
-Crane Operator for CR Meyers at SCA tissue plant in support of expansion project. 60-90 ton hydraulic and 100 ton Lattice Boom.
-Crane Operator for Craig Construction Co. at SCA tissue plant in support of expansion project. Operated large hydraulic cranes.
- Operating Engineer and design consultant for HOLTEC. Operated equipment and hydraulic cranes in support of Dry cask, which are the outside storage units for spent nuclear fuel. I also assisted in the design of a new plat form that could be installed on the HI STORM containers without the use of a crane, which saved the company thousands of dollars and several man-hours of labor on this particular project.
. Operating Engineer Supervisor at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant in support of EPU project.
* Successfully completed outage on Unit 5 precip at Colbert Fossil Plant as Operating Engineer Supervisor.
* Operator for mobile Water Treatment System. Treated and neutralized over 1.8 million gallons of PCB contaminated water utilizing: Micron filters and Carbon filters and turbidity meters.
* Responsible for the operation and maintenance of 15 CAT D-8 and D-7G bulldozers for the Seabees. The dozers are a critical part of several naval operations including ELCAS, WESPAC, OPDS and BTU.
* Successfully completed 7 ELCAS constructions over a 3 yr. period for the US Navy. ELCAS is a 2500 ft. mobile docking pier and a critical step in getting supplies from ship to shore in a wartime situation.
* Was responsible for the setup and operation of beach transfer unit (BTU), which is the junction point for fuel coming onshore from the offshore petroleum discharge system (OPDS).
* As a civilian I have participated in the construction and completion of a new union hall for the IBEW L.U.558 and the construction of the Electrical Workers credit union here in Sheffield, AL.
* Have successfully completed 3 nuclear refueling outages at Browns Ferry nuclear plant both as an Operating Engineer and a Carpenter/Electrician helper.
* Held positions as Foreman/Temporary Lead Foreman on a security upgrade at Browns Ferry assisting in the excavation of over 5700 feet of duct bank, the erection of 15 security watch towers and the placement of over 350/ 33,000 lb concrete barricades and a pop up barrier.
* Assisted in the assembly of 73 mock up interceptor missile inside of a missile silo for Boeing GMD using a boom truck and supported combustion turbine rotor change out at Calpine Morgan Energy using 100T Linkbelt truck mounted crane.
* Excavated footing for an elementary school in Mombassa, Kenya during a humanitarian exercise with the US Navy.
* Excavated trenches for electric service lines for 25 HUD homes in Demopolis, AL.
* Worked as an Environmental Engineer and as a Water Treatment Specialist in the treatment of over 2 million gallons of PCB contaminated water and excavation and neutralization of over 750 tons of PCB contaminated soil.
