I am currently looking for full time positioning. I enjoy working on numerous projects at once in a fast paced environment where organization is key. I am equally successful in both team and self-directed settings. Continual and on-job learning is important to me as well I value the fulfilment of a challenging job in a demanding environment. Summary of Technical Training at College

During my studies I became exposed to numerous types of industry-used techniques for environmental monitoring and assessment. My studies focused on environmental monitoring techniques for soil, air, as well as water. I learned how to profile soils, assess the health of both erosional and depositional water areas, and determine air quality to name a few procedures. I became familiar with environmental legislation and how to research acts and specific situations. I've taken classes on Canadian vegetation with an emphasis on Alberta flora. Specifically learning how to ID and key out vegetation and their importance in the ecology of an area. I have taken classes on Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Control, Mapping and GIS, Microbiology, Limnology, Bio-monitoring and Bioassay, as well as been exposed to many analytical instruments.

Reclamation Research Technician: Native Plant Development
* involved with experiment and method development for reclamation and remediation, as well as establishing different tests and plot design
* sampling, organizing and analyzing data collected in the field (soil samples, % cover, biodiversity, biomass, quadrat,…)
* nursery, crop and test plot maintenance (planting/seeding, watering, bio-control, weeding, spraying, mowing, harvesting – hand harvest/combine)
* land/plot preparation for breeder seed inspection
* plant identification, collection, cataloguing and organization (herbarium)

* adapted to many work environments from a clean laboratory to field work in all weather conditions as well as travelling long distances and working long hours
