Professional Qualifications:
- Senior Scientist (Seismologist), ITT Industries Advance Engineering and Sciences Division: Provides technical support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in seismology as a member of the Scientific and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) team. Evaluates proposals in nuclear explosions monitoring and provides technical advice on these proposals to DTRA. Provides technical advice to DTRA on testing and evaluating, in an operational environment, the results of DTRA's R&D programs in seismology, hydroacoustics, and infrasound.

Major Areas of Research
Theoretical and applied geophysics, earthquake seismology, microseismicity, seismotectonics, crustal studies, seismic zoning and the applications of seismology to monitor nuclear test ban treaties. Familiar with the geology and tectonics of the Middle East and status of seismological activities in the region.
Teaching of various scientific subjects at the university level, not only in the main discipline of Seismology/Geophysics/Geodynamics, but to include environmental science, natural hazards, risk mitigation and history of science.
