Investigation of Damping behaviour of Moist Cohesive Powders at Institute of Process Engineering, Otto-Von-Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany.
Description:
In this Master Thesis I have studied the flow properties and the damping behaviour of a moist cohesive powder using a vibrating shear cell. For that the yield loci are to be measured. Limestone was taken as an example of a cohesive powder and the yield loci were calculated. From the shear test results the powder characteristics spring constant C, viscous damping ratio æb and COULOMB-damping ratio Ëb were determined. The experiments were conducted at different moisture contents (0%, 2%, 4%, 8%, 16%, & 32%) and their effects on flow and damping were compared.

- Worked as a CAD Engineer at Lokesh Motor Works, Hyderabad, India, for a period of one and half year (from 05/01 to 11/02). I worked on designing the Machine Tools using Auto-CAD, Pro-E or I-DEAS.
- Student Assistant at Institute of Process Engineering, Otto-Von-Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany (02/2004 – 11/2004). I have involved in a project aimed at the Damping Behaviour and Flow properties of Cohesive Powders.
