To Whom It May Concern:
When reviewing my work history, please note that for the year following my position elimination at BetzDeaborn (Due to Downsizing), I had taken the time (1 year approximately) to care for my terminally ill mother.
I have extensive experienced in common microbiological laboratory methods, aseptic technique, microbial isolation and identification (gram stain, Biolog system), preparation of media, cell culturing and harvesting techniques, serial dilution testing, zone of inhibition testing, synergy testing, and bioburden testing to name a few. I also have a good knowledge and I am competent of performing microbial testing methods related to FDA and USP - cGMP's, cGCP's (surface, air, water testing).
I have extensive experience working under FDA- GLP - (good laboratory practices), writing and implementation of SOP's (standard operating procedures), testing protocols, laboratory operating procedures and development of new microbial test methodologies.
I have experience in conducting both laboratory and production facility QA audits. I meet on a regular (monthly) basis with fellow colleagues and also surf the web (daily) to keep abreast of new technologies.
I am totally computer literate and well versed in all Windows Based Programs as well as many Scientific and Statistical related programs.
While obtaining my BS degree in Biology, my core curriculum was focused on Molecular Biology of the Cell, Biochemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Note: GPA - 3.5
My multiple patents, publications and accomplishments are a display of my inventiveness and ability to interact with a team to produce successful results.
I am a hard working individual willing to do what it takes to get the job done. I am also a quick learner and extremely good at writing and following protocols. I have enclosed my resume for your review. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss my background and potential placement.
Salary is Negotiable.
Regards,
Michael W. Werner
