SUMMARY
A progressive career which has provided a well developed working knowledge of QA/QC and coating inspection services in the field. Experience has been gained operating from both practical and supervisory standpoints, on and offshore, in the Netherlands and abroad. Initially trained as a foreman OA/QC inspector subsequently progressing through qualification and experience to take positions as a paint inspector and later up to senior coating inspector. Responsibilities have encompassed all aspects of this field, including coordination and supervision of subordinate inspectors, monitoring practices, implementing specifications, interpretation and evaluation of coating reports and to liaison with clients and production management etc.

Such experience has additionally cultivated strong skills as communication, organization, planning and problem solving. These attributes, coupled and applied together with extensive technical knowledge and practical ability, have served to ensure total work integrity and achievement of all objectives.

Carry out inspections, surveys, claim handling, assist contractors, owners and paint manufactures in application in the field and specialized in tank and pipe coatings, reinforced tank lining with glass fiber by hand lay up or chopped fiber (GRE), hydro-blasting, twin feed application/ plural pump, metallizing / thermal metal spray, FBE pipe coating and fouling release silicone coatings. yacht coatings and maintenance and cold and hot insulation.
Owns latest technical equipment to carry out every survey or inspection.

Started in the laboratory as an application and coating expert for the division Marine and Protective Coatings. Later on as inspector marine/ protective coatings based in the Rotterdam office working mostly in Europe and also frequent on projects abroad. Last years as chief inspector Field and assisted the technical manager for Technical Service Department based at the head office and worked only worldwide on major projects for new building and maintenance and in charge of the inspectors on site. Projects were mostly FPSO's / FSO's, tankers, bulk carriers, offshore, ship new building and maintenance, yachts (Durban SA/ Oceanco Netherlands), pipelines, tank coating and tank renovation with GRP/ GRE sprayed and hand lay up, special applications etc.
