Was a member of the survey team that completed a high precision GPS and mapping project of the Jim Charles Campground for Kejimkujik National Park and Historic Site. Some other duties included orthorectifying and mosaicking digital aerial photographs, processing and validating LIDAR by setting up ground control and performing high precision GPS, and installing, maintaining and calibrating Campbell Scientific CR10X Weather Stations and DS4A Hydrolab Datasondes. Currently working on a project funded by Environment Canada entitled "Using Benthic Macroinvertebrates as Biological Indicators to Assess the Impacts of Land Use and Land Cover on Water Quality.

The object of the three week field camp was to survey and chart a portion of the Annapolis Basin up to and including the beach head. Our group of three set up a static GPS network to establish horizontal control and installed a tide gauge to establish vertical control for the survey area. This was completed by combining data obtained from the following three independent surveys: a bathymetric survey from a 45' vessel, an RTK survey of the beach and intertidal zone and a topographic survey using conventional survey equipment also of the beach and intertidal zone.
