Company profile:

CIDCO is Maharashtra Govt. organization entrusted in the Planning, Development and Management of cities by providing infrastructure both physical and social in the state of Maharashtra, India. CIDCO is New Town Development Authority for Navi Mumbai, India and is developing this city since 1970.

Govt has entrusted many projects to CIDCO, and this is a Special Planning Authority for Vasai-Virar Sub Region of Mumbai Metropolitan Region also. Recently Govt. of Chattisghad also entrusted some projects to CIDCO.
CIDCO is also Developing Special Economic zone (SEZ) in Navi Mumbai.

In Vasai-Virar, CIDCO's main task is to prepare the development plan by coordinating with various agencies and implementation of the Development Plan and also controlling the development of private and public within the ambit of various statutes and Govt. directives.

Nature of duties:

I) Team member in preparation of Development plan of Vasai-Virar Sub-Region and involved in preparation and publication of two development plans of this area. This task involves the following jobs.

a) Cordination with other Govt. organisations, like MSEB, PWD, Local Authorities, Railway etc. for knowing their land requirements and follow up actions.

b) Coordination with NRSA, Hyderabad in procurement of Areal photographs, Cadestrally correlated maps.

c) Coordination with various departments within like Engineering, Lands and survey, Transportation, Rehabilitation And social Service etc. for finalization of the respective land uses (Road network, storm water disposal systems, Sewerage and Drainage systems, Water supply and distribution systems and locations of other uses).

d) Preseting/ Assisting the presentation of the development plan at the various stages of preparation in front of various committees.

e) Assisting the Planning Committee, a committee constituted by Govt. of Maharashtra for hearing of Suggestions/ Objections on development plan published.

II) Scrutinizing authority for grant of development permissions for all users, residential, Industrial, Commercial etc. on the basis of Development Control Regulations and various other statutes.

III) Assessment of Development charges.

III) Attending and representing CIDCO in legal forums like appeals in front of Minister U.D,High Court,Human Rights Commission,Consumer redressal forum etc.
