* Supervised the installation of various groundwater-monitoring wells to determine direction of migrating contaminants and their effect on downstream surface water (2005).
* Investigated arsenic levels in the sediments and water in a river receiving mine drainage and effluent discharge from several coal mines located in the Central Coalfields, Bihar, India (2000).

Soil and Groundwater Remediation
* Project Scientist for remedial investigation at a major railway yard in eastern Ontario. Supervised test pitting and remedial testing. Conducted groundwater monitoring. Prepared a comprehensive final report with results.
* Field technologist for groundwater remediation using chemical oxidation at chlorinated volatile organic compounds (cVOC) impacted sites in Ottawa, Ontario.
* Environmental Technologist for remedial investigation at several crude oil spill locations in eastern Ontario. Supervised test pit excavations, overburden and rock drilling, and core evaluation. Conducted groundwater monitoring (2005).
* Field Technologist for the remediation/removal of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soils from residential and commercial properties in Ontario and Quebec (2005).
* Field supervisor for removal of underground storage tanks (USTs) from residential and commercial properties in Ontario and Quebec (2005).
* Supervised and conducted soil cleanup operations at a several gas stations in Ontario. Soil and water sampling conducted and degree of remediation assessed (2005-2006).

Waste Disposal Assessment and Impacts
* Managed several research projects on environmental geochemical and biogeochemical studies in sulfide mine tailings, mining-impacted lake sediments and acid mine drainage in Northern Ontario, Quebec and NWT (2002-2004).
* Investigated topsoil, river sediment, surface and groundwater quality around a coal fly ash disposal site in Eastern India and delineated contaminated areas with spatial mapping (1998-2001).
* Monitored the surface water quality in a river receiving effluent from coal mines and thermal power plants in Eastern India (2000).
* Managed a research project on geochemical characterization of feed coal and its combustion by-product (fly ash) to determine their leachability and potential to contaminate the surface water and groundwater (1998-2001).
* Conducted detailed environmental assessment of topsoil and groundwater contamination around thermal power plants and their waste disposal sites in Eastern India (1998-2000).
* Investigated the geochemistry of ultrabasic rocks and the release of hexavalent chromium to the soil and groundwater around an open-cast chromite mines, Eastern India (1996-1997).

Environmental Sampling and Analysis
* Expert in designing and conducting environmental sampling of soil, sediments, groundwater, and surface water.
* Expert in soil and sediment coring, borehole drilling operations and monitoring well development for groundwater.
* Analysed groundwater for metals, major ions, petroleum hydrocarbons, VOCs, PAHs and BTEX.
