-Planning and effecting preventive maintenance / overhauling / repair schedules of various machineries & instruments to increase machine up time and long term equipment reliability.
-Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and taking corrective measures / steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools.
-Managing the production related tasks including planning, control and trouble shooting.
-Setting up production targets and achieve the same within time and cost parameters.
-Optimising man & machine utilisation to achieve pre-set production targets.
-Major role in achieving the production targets with respect to quality and quantity of the products.
-Actively involved in preparing:Monthly statement and performance of products manufactured in the plant for management information system.Process Records, SOP, Process validation reports, Equipment Qualification Reports.
-Analyzing various processes / applications and recommending process modifications and equipment modification to enhance operational efficiency.
-Implementing major cost savings strategies, productivity enhancements and improvements.
-Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
-Supervising the production processes, systems at the outsource end and providing suggestions for improving process efficiency.
-Evaluating safety issues, Quality problems & coordinating with shift crew for rectification of the same.
-Ensuring quality of incoming material as per pre-set quality parameters.
-Fore fronting the implementation of cGMP guidelines and meeting various regulatory requirements.
-Adherence to the requirements of US-FDA, ISO 14000 and ISO 9002.
-Coordinating with service departments, QA, QC, Process Development Dept. (for process improvement) and Process Engineering. Dept.(for hardware modification)
-Remarkable efforts towards ensuring:Safe and pollution free atmosphere and implementing EHS guidelines.Maintenance of all type of safety requirements and up keep of plant.Carrying out Process Hazard Analysis and recommending for suitable modification in process & hardware.Investigations on Incidents and suggesting corrective and preventive actions.
-Managing various fire fighting equipment and safety related gadgets.
-Core member for Study, plan and implementation of Personnel protective equipments (PPE) procedure. Training safety high standard procedure (identification, preparation, training total factory).Solvent loss control team.
-Preparing and following up reports through SAP (incident & near-misses).
-Monitoring the performance level of the staff for ensuring accomplishment of the target.
-Organizing regular periodic meetings & trainings for staff & engineers for discussing current work issues and devising solutions for enhanced operations.
-Imparting floor training to operating people for enhancing their knowledge and improving the efficiency.
-Demonstrated skills in handling various solvents such as Acetone, Methanol, Methylene chloride, Dimethyl formamide, Dimethyl acetamide, Isopropyl alcohol, Isopropyl ether, Toluene, Hexamethyldisilaxone, Butyl aceate, Ethyl acetate, Tetrahydofuran, Phenol and Acetonitrile.
-Played a key role in reducing the operating cost of products.
-Attained substantial cost savings through:
-Acetone sulphur odor removal projects: saving Rs250 lakhs / annum.
-IPA recovery alternate process: saving Rs.80 lakhs / annum.
-DMF recovery alternate process saving Rs 75 lakhs / annum.
-Methanol recovery from lean stream: Saving Rs.150 lakhs/ annum.
-Methanol removal from Acetone + Methanol mixture: Saving 40 lakhs / annum.
-Solvent loss control 2005-06: Saving Rs. 80 lakhs / annum.
-Solvent loss control 2006-07: Saving Rs. 125 lakhs / annum.
-Solvent loss control 2007-08: Saving Rs 150 lakhs / annum (under progress).
-Out-sourcing solvents to control inventory: Saving Rs.100 lakhs / annum.
-Fore fronted the commissioning of Four Solvent recovery plants (DCS).
-Efficiently handled aspen-tech software to optimize distillation process.
-Pervapouration technique to separate solvents is being under study.
-Significantly to reduce the air-bourn loss is under study.
-Played a key role in handling the following processes:
-More than 100 solvent recovery processes are optimized.
-More than 20 solvents are handled in different proportion.
-About 700 ton / day of solvent process capacity handled.

-Vacuum pumps:Ital vacuum pump, Reitchley vacuum pump, water ring, oil ring vacuum pump
-Distillation columns: bubble cap tray, Sieve plate, packed (pall rings, ceramic sedals & sulzer packings), valve tray, internal reflux columns.
-Pumps: Centrifugal (seal and galnd) and air operated diaphragm pumps.
-Condensers:Double tube, shell and tube, Plate heat exchanger.
-Utilities: Induced type cooling tower water,+5 deg chilled water, -10 deg Utility, -40 deg utility, -70 deg utility, steam, air, nitrogen.
-Others: Liquid- Liquid extraction columns, Multi mill, Scrubbers, plumbs breaker, Rotocone vacuum Drier, Centrifuges and Tanks, Cryogenic Vent gas condensation system to control solvent vapour emission to atmosphere
