-Perform analysis on mine and plant samples as directed. Analyses include aqua regia digestion and AAS finish for determination of base metals ( e.g. copper, silver, zinc) and gold, determination of copper by iodometric titration,
-Operation and routine maintenance of the AAS and calibration of weighing balances
-Ensures results are reported in a timely manner as directed
-Supervises and trains the lab techs, ensuring that all practices comply with the written SOPs
-Ensures that results are accurate and issued in a timely manner
-Ensures that analytical standards are maintained at a high level
-Prepares test solutions, compounds and reagents for conducting tests
-As an operator, controls the flotation area in the process plant
-Controls, monitors and regulates the dosage of flotation reagents (frother and collector)
-Controls, monitor and regulate the flotation cells to ensure that set targets for concentrate grade and recovery are achieved
-Monitors the various process set points to ensure optimum process conditions
