Objective:

To obtain a challenging position that will allow me to utilize both my technical experience and higher education while allowing me to grow and display my dedication to the Industrial Technology discipline.

Work Experience:

I am currently assigned to Active Duty Status with the US Navy. I volunteered my services and loyalty so that I may continue my experience as a Customs and Patrol Agent in the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

As a middle management supervisor in the US Armed Forces, I have received training from the Homeland Security in the study of Customs and Border Patrol clearing agent. My responsibilities were to assist and supervise Inspection teams tasked to inspect cargo, baggage and personal effects of returning soldiers and sailors to the United States for compliance with US Customs Service, USDA and Military regulations for prohibited items. We would locate and seize contraband, undeclared merchandise. All items were recorded and documented.

Before this I operated and performed a variety of duties to further my knowledge and established credibility in my field of study as an Industrial Technologists. I have been employed as a commercial truck driver and operator.

My duties were to maintain the Marshaling yard, dispatch job site information and deliver a wide variety of supplies ranging from concrete to lumber. I maintained sales, support and customer satisfaction while employing safety practices. I performed these duties gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in operating tractors, loaders and winches. I chose this occupation to assist me in the understanding the behind the scenes operations of the work force in relations to my college education and background in Industrial Technology. I repeatedly took positions in this field to establish working knowledge. Additionally I performed these duties while attending my higher education.

My background includes also includes duties as a Technical Analyst with Wachovia Bank. My duties and responsibilities were Architectural planning, reconfiguration, maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, building structures. I gathered, reviewed and interpreted data concerning the facility and prepared schematics and blueprints.

Prior to this I performed as a Facilities AutoCAD Designer with Solectron Technology. I modified, corrected and updated blueprints using AutoCAD2000 and additionally applied concepts, practices, standards and drafting techniques required for architectural design and produced blueprints. I maintained and employed current AutoCAD practices and programs.

I also possess a working knowledge of wiring and electrical components. I operated as a Facility Automated Specialist with MCON Automated Logic Control. I was responsible for wired Aaron units and control panels in accordance with the company specifications and instruction to provide communications to the control DMS panel. I programmed modules for lighting control, troubleshooting and repaired control modules and produced drawings for this office building using the AutoCAD 13 & 14. I would assist in other general maintenance also.

I received advanced training in a variety of disciplines related to my course of study. This insight and experience had given me invaluable understanding of the behind the scenes operations of all facets of Industrial Technology.

I am currently assigned as a US Customs and Border Patrol Inspector with the United States Navy en route to the Middle East. I anticipate a return to the Continental United States in November 2008 if not sooner. This will be my second tour performing this vital role as a volunteer. The experience and training I have received while performing in a combat zone is invaluable. Additionally it has given me the opportunity to grow as a leader and enhance my skill as a team player.
