3. Regular update on donors and funding possibilities, and maintain contact with current and potential donors.

5. Facilitate programmatic training for the staff of Save the Children
6. Ensure adequate quality reports to donors, counterpart government authorities, partners, and headquarter of Save the Children.
7. Facilitate periodical and ad hoc surveys and assessments and evaluations of projects and programs
8. Facilitate documentation of Save the Children interventions, successful stories and lessons learned.

Program Manager, Agricultural Income Generation Project, Save the Children, Kulob, Tajikistan (Dec. 2000 - August 2003)
1. Establishment of a new agricultural program that assists farmers at the household level through provision of quality seeds, agric. extension, green houses, storage facilities, veterinary services, poultry and marketing information
2. Recruitment of staff and their orientation and training
3. Organize surveys for the selection of beneficiaries as well as assessments for the various interventions.
4. Development of community structures to coordinate activities (Village Agricultural Committees)
5. Establish government relations at the regional and district levels and negotiation of an MOU

9. Reporting to donor, counterpart government authorities and head office.
10. The initial project was for one year. Proposals were developed for further period and based on significant results, the same donor funded two more years. Also, another cycle of funding is under consideration now.

Program/Grants Manager, Umoyo Network - Save the Children, Blantyre, Malawi (Oct. 99- Nov. 2000)
* The program is a field project for a global partnership program based in Washington DC, NGO Networks for Health, jointly developed by ADRA, CARE, PATH, Plan International and Save the Children/US (Save the Children is the Lead PVO in Malawi)
* The program focuses on HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health.
* Scope of work summary:
1. Staffing and establishment of Program
2. Management of all program activities including management of an Umbrella Grant program and sub-granting to local NGOs
3. Assessment and capacity building for local partners,
4. Development of necessary manuals and procedures
5. Development of future proposals.
6. The program is responsible for coordination of a quarterly forum (3-days workshop) for all partners of health activities funded by USAID well as key players in Malawi (USAID Mission, government, PVOs, UN agencies and local NGOs) where government policies and major issues are discussed.

* Managed the entire Administration Department (HR, Procurement & Maintenance, Logistics and general office management). The program includes a large relief and resettlement component that necessitates a huge logistical support.
* Acting Field Office Director in the absence of Director (has been carried out for a continuous period of around six months in addition to intermittent additional periods).

Eritrean refugees

* Shared all the Program Manager's duties, including program development and administration, with an Expatriate counterpart.

Food for Work Project Manager - Showak, Eastern Sudan (88 - 1990)
* Responsible for managing the program and looking for innovative ways to utilize food as a resource for community development.
* Responsible for clearing of food from the port and all food associated storage and logistics.
