Responsible for generating map graphics and other material for the production of city and county street reference maps and map-books. Precision CADD drafting involved (a) placement of lines, complex shapes, text, and warp scans, (b) digitization of contours from source material, (c) assignment of attributes for map elements, and (d) quality control of finished map product through multiple revisions. CADD work also involved interaction with network databases, archiving and retrieving geographic information, and various computer skills. All work was performed under tight deadlines and with due regard for accuracy, aesthetics, and usability. Constant coordination and communication with engineers was essential.
