JOB PROFILE: Retired as Lieutenant from Indian Navy on 27 Aug 03 on completion of initial engagement. As an Officer of the executive branch and a specialist Officer in Hydrographic cadre in Navy involves varied duties such as Watch keeping, Asst Hydrographer, Helicopter Controller, Regulating Officer, Staff Officer, Gunnery Officer, CBO, and in addition O i/c of Non- Public funds.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 6 years as Asst. Hydrographer (Grade III) and Watch keeping duties involves Ship handling, boat handling, Planning, Coordination and Execution of the tasks as allotted or ordered by the Command. All Administrative activities, correspondence with the civil authorities which concerns survey operations and ship related activities, Discipline of personnel onboard, their transfers and keeping track of respective courses which the men should go for. Upkeep and Maintenance of Arms and Ammunition and related official correspondence. Training of personnel in Survey and other aspects of ship's commitments.

SURVEY BACK GROUND: Being a Specialist Officer in Survey (Asst. Hydrographer, grade III) branch my job includes Planning, coordination and execution of task as allotted by the Command pertaining to the directives issued by the National hydrographic Office. Worked on following survey equipment Extensively on the following positioning systems a)Trimble (b) DDMU (c) Lieca GPS 200/300. Sonar systems like a) Edgeteck Current meter(b) EG&G side scan sonars (c) Deso 20/25 Echo Sounders. Digital Distance measuring equipments such as (a) DI 3000 digitomat
.
Software experience (1) Caris ISAH, 2)HYPACK MAX (3) Tide Cal (4) SKI for GPS 200/300. Processing of digital data and taking charts of the relevant areas obtained by using the above softwares and Plotters. In addition to the above comfortable working with office 2003.

SURVEY OPERATIONS: Starting with recce of the place/location of the survey area, Recovery of established survey control points of Survey of India. Establishing ground control and transferring the same to the survey area, Coastline survey, task of Carrying out Bathymetric surveys on planned survey lines Off Gujarat, Mangalore, Goa, Bombay, Bombay high, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala Coasts (collection of digital Bathemetric data, Investigation of wrecks, Harbour surveys, pre and post surveys of dredging. Beach Gradient surveys, Survey assistance to Army for gun areas traversing from Bikanier to Rann of Kuttch along the border, Monitoring body onboard foreign vessels (M/v Geoprospector, M/v Teknik perdana). Coordinated survey operations off phompoohar, Tamilnadu involving diving operations, Bathymetric Scanning and bathymetric operations for investigating ruins of temple and ship. Assigning objects for acronyms and collecting data for ECDIS ( Normally used for navigation). Coastal Zone management being part of the survey operations has given good exposure on the different places inhibited by different people with diversified cultures.

SUBSEQUENT PROFFESSION: Worked as Security officer in UCO Bank Regional Office Hyderabad since 8 March 2004. My job involves monitoring of alarm systems, advising branches in respect of security and safety aspects, upkeep of strong rooms.
