PY (Payroll):-

* Analysing the country specific schema and related payroll functions, personnel calculation rules (PCR's) and operations, to reach the required solution. Presenting the solution in front of management and taking the acceptance for the same.

* Defining the scope of work for the project, Configuring ESS having business package 1.0 on R/3 system, Configuring Enterprise Portal 7.0 related to ESS as per the user requirement. Developing the objects, not provided by standard ESS package in Web Dynpro for ABAP and providing the same on enterprise portal.

* Developed reports for retrieving time data from clusters and database tables.

* Mapping client Enterprise structure, organization structure and employee structure as per the client's current structures, to SAP. Developing reports providing details as per client needs.

Siemens Information Systems Ltd. (SISL), Mumbai, India 08/2004 – 05/2008.
SAP HR Projects executed through SISL (from latest to first in reverse chronological order).
1) Alkem Laboratories Ltd, India 04/2008 – 05/2008.
* Analysis and requirement gathering was done during the Business Blue Print phase of the project.
* Requirements categorized as either reports, SAP queries, user exits or dynamic actions depending on the nature of output expected by the client.
* Designed the data upload templates for PA and OM infotypes, report layouts were designed as per user requirements.
* Developed BDC programs with required validation checks as per client requirements. Collected sample live data from the client, for testing of BDC programs developed for data migration.
* Designed and mapped different types of PA letters according to the organizations business process and as per the letter formats which currently the organization uses for employee related actions such as hiring, promotion, transfer etc. Prepared functional specifications for the PA letters to be developed. Developed PA letters in R/3 system as per the design and an infotype to populate the letters for user interaction.
2) Sakal Newspaper, Pune, India 11/2007 – 04/2008.
* Scope of the project was decided, finalizing the services to be implemented in ESS. Prepared functional specifications mapping the user requirement to the SAP ESS. Prepared technical specifications with respect to the corresponding functional specifications. Responsible for customizing Employee Self Service (ESS) having business package of 1.0, on Enterprise portal 7.0 interacting with R/3 system ECC 6.0 as backend system. Added new links on Enterprise portal on ESS menu to support client needs. Also, unwanted services on portal were hidden as per the requirement.
* As a part of implementation, developments were also done in Webdynpro for ABAP in R/3 system to satisfy client requirements such as displaying details of personal, address, bank, family, attendance, remuneration statement data etc., of an Employee who logs in portal as an ESS user. End user training was given to ensure client satisfaction with usability of ESS.
3) Electricity Generation Authority - Thailand (Offshore) 07/2007 – 11/2007.
* Responsible for leading a team of 4-5 members. Activities performed as a team lead: Managed resources as per the client needs for developments. Determined the criticality of objects relevant for go-live and post-golive of the project. Performed effort estimation for the developments agreeing with developer and the client. Analysed and reviewed the functional specifications and allocated the same to the developers. Reviewed technical specifications of the peers for quality purposes. Reviewed the developed objects of the team members and tested the same as per the provided test cases. Monitored the deadlines of peers for their respective developments. Delivered the objects to the client within the expected deadlines.
* Prepared technical specifications in line with the functional specifications for developing an object/development. Developed payroll reports.
* User exits in time management module were developed related to absence quota generation as per client requirements.
* Complex infotype development was done with Dynamic Actions written in Benefit Management module.
* Coverage has been done in reviewing functional specifications, technical specifications as well as code of peers in the project.
4) John Keells Holdings Limited, Srilanka (Offshore) 02/2007 – 06/2007.
* Responsible for developing payroll reports e.g., Employee's Payslip.
* PA reports providing output using Smartforms.
* Creating customer specific infotypes.
* Developing ESS objects, which included module pool programming.
5) Times of India (News Paper), Mumbai, India 01/2007 – 02/2007.
* Responsible for developing payroll reports by reading data from clusters and output using ALV grid and list format.
6) SAP Labs, HCM developments, Bangalore, India 10/2005 – 01/2007.
Worked on Global Projects such as follows:-
* Made legal changes related to Tax Credit Infotype for Great Britain.
* According to customer requirement, changed the working of legal form P45 – Leaving Details (for Great Britain).
* Worked on end of year report for GB (Great Britain) which displays legal
Forms such P14 (Inland Revenue), P60 (Summary for the Employee) P35 (Employer's Annual Return to Inland Revenue).
* Worked on Payroll functionality for South Africa: - Preparing of functional specifications and respective technical specifications, hence working towards the solution. Presented the solution in front of management, taking the acceptance for the same. Analyzed working of payroll for South Africa, involving understanding of respective country specific schema, subschema's, PCR's (Personnel Calculation Rules) and operations. Modifications were done in the South African Schema by commenting the standard GRSUP function adding a new one with its signature changed. A subschema was created and was called in the changed GRSUP payroll function as one of the parameters. The standard payroll function was also modified as per new South African requirement given by the product management. Provided solution for customer raised SAP messages by releasing SAP Notes.
7) Siemens PLC, Poole, UK 05/2005 - 06/2005.
* Responsible for implementing ALE (Application Link Enabling) for data transfer of employees of certain PA infotypes, between two SAP systems having version 4.6 and 4.7.
8) Siemens Ltd, Mumbai, India 09/2004 - 04/2005.
* Responsible for setting up ESS for PA (Personnel Administration) and PY (Payroll) modules integrated with respective workflows.
* Responsible for data migration from SAP R/3 Version 3.1H to 4.7 in PA (Personal Administration) and PY (Payroll) modules using BDC and LSMW.
