Heap Leach Expansion, Nevada (2006) – Construction Area Manager for a $6 million heap leach facility expansions and process pond repair for Placer Dome/Barrick. Reported directly to the Mine Manager and Operations Manager and responsible for all aspects of the three projects from bid development, adjudication, project management, and invoicing. Short construction schedule and limited resources required substantial flexibility, close management and planning with the contractor and coordination of significant mine equipment usage. Projects were completed while overcoming winter weather issues. Directly managed the Contractor and the mine equipment fleet to advance the project schedule and coordinating use with the mine including haul trucks, shovel, dozers, loaders and support equipment in order to complete the project.

Phoenix Project Plant Site, Nevada (2005) – Member of Construction Management (CM) team for direction and supervision of quantity control for a $265 million Mill Site construction at a major gold mine expansion. Responsible for supervision of staff for verifying all construction trade quantities; structural, civil, electrical, mechanical and plumbing. Responsible for providing quantity reports and initial approval of invoicing while resolving discrepancies directly with the Contractors prior to submittal of monthly invoices to the CM. Quantity team was directly responsible for saving more than $1.4 million in project costs (on first electrical change order) by reviewing Contractor submittal and comparing with compiled industry rates, experience and sources which assisted the CM in reducing the change order cost. Other cost savings included identifying a reduction of $200,000 overcharges on concrete, $300,000 excess bid costs on harmonic filters and more than $500,000 on earthworks.

Senior Geologist/Operations Manager - Terranext.
Duties & Scope – Responsible for management of an environmental consulting office in EPA Region VI providing emergency response, UST removals, site assessments, field sampling and monitoring programs, and groundwater and soil remediation in addition to drilling programs and construction CQA and oversight,. This included direction and guidance of staff, project scheduling, costing, invoicing, proposals and project reporting and direction/coordination of sales and marketing efforts with corporate officers.

Achievements:
- Implemented company-owned remediation equipment leasing resulting in pass-through charge reduction and increase in office revenue

- Responsible for turning a negative revenue office around in less than six months.

- Re-organized office and field operations for reducing subcontractor tasks by performing more services "in-house", thereby improving cash-flow and increasing office net revenue
