Project Description This software is an n-tier graphical user interface (GUI) build using menu interface developed by Transoft international Pvt. Ltd.

Fluidyn - VENTMINE is software for design of ventilation system in mine. Bhabha Atomic Research center [BARC] one of the worlds premier research institute in atomic/nuclear energy. BARC has many under ground uranium mines. In uranium mine, there is a threat of lung cancer due insufficient ventilation. The ventilation eliminate the threat of the lung cancer, caused by radon and its short lived progeny products, to the workers working in the underground uranium mine at heavy operational and maintenance cost. To optimize the ventilation system for these kinds of mines, BARC asked to develop the software, which simulates various ventilation problems of the underground uranium mines.

Some of the major requirements of this project are:

1. Modeling of Incompressible and compressible flow in side the tunnel
2. Modeling of Laminar and Turbulent flow.
3. Development of VENTMINE for simulation of ventilation problems of the underground uranium mine.
4. Development of pollutant transports in underground mine.

Project Description Fluidyn - Explode is fluid dynamics software designed to simulate the formation and explosion of vapor clouds of reactive gases. Explode computes the temporal and spatial variations of the pressure, due to explosions, in the domain of interest. It also calculates other thermodynamic and flow properties, such as temperature, density, internal energy, and velocity in the problem domain. In addition, Explode can be used to obtain impulse at specified monitor or evaluation points.

Some of the major requirement of this project are:

1. Pressure propagation inside a domain due to a pressure (blast) wave of a known strength hitting a boundary of the domain from outside,
2. Pressure propagation inside a domain due to a pressure (blast) wave of a known strength generated inside the domain,
3. Ignition (Combustion) and explosion of a vapor cloud of specified composition and the propagation of the pressure waves generated by explosion, and
4. Formation of the reactive vapor cloud due to the convection and diffusion from a source of the reactants, and the consequent ignition, explosion, and propagation of the resulting pressure waves.

Project Description Fluidyn – Assess Risk is fluid dynamics software designed to simulate the various accidental scenarios in petroleum and petrochemical industries. Recently, UFIP revised its methodology on risk assessment for petrochemical industrial sites such as refineries, certified further by INERIS (French National Institute for Environment and Risks). This software uses UFIP methodology to analyze all likely accidental events on such sites by a deterministic or probabilistic approach. Algorithm is provided by SHELL(France) and TOTAL(France). In general, Assess Risk can be used to simulate the following Scenario:
1. Tank fire, flash fire, pool fire and jet fire
2. Explosion with blast or fire-ball effect
3. BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapour Explosion)
4. Fire-ball, blast or missile formation
5. UVCE (Unconfined Vapour Cloud Explosion), boil-over and
6. Dispersion etc.

Project Description Fire and smoke inside a tunnel of length 1.59kms is studied. The tunnel is a semi-cylindrical tube. It contains 1 platform at each side. The tunnel is not horizontal. The tunnel has got 4 ventilation regions with trap doors in the ceiling. The trap doors are used to ventilate the tunnel by feeding in air during normal operation. During instances of fire the ventilators are used as exhausts to extract the air from the tunnel. In the present study a steady state for normal operation of the tunnel is simulated. These results are used as initial conditions for the fire simulations. Three cases of fire Viz. very light car, light car and heavy car are simulated. For all the three cases it is assumed that the fire occurs at the center of the tunnel and the pool fire surface area for the corresponding fire is 80m2. The flow, fire conditions and the geometry symmetric along the length of the tunnel, only half model is simulated
