Work Experience

Associate Geologist April 2007-Present
Parsons Corporation Denver, CO

* Working as Field Team Leader and Sampling technician on U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Site Investigation projects, collecting soil and sediment samples within former bombing range target areas in New Mexico, and California to assess for possible surface and sub-surface contamination.
* Working as sampling technician on groundwater wells in Altus, Oklahoma Air Force Base. Measuring water table depths, and collecting groundwater samples for possible groundwater contamination.
* Completing technical work reports on Site-specific work plans and Site Investigation reports to meet Army Corps of Engineer and client standards.
* Attending Technical Project Planning (TPP) meetings and giving power-point presentations to both USACE personnel, and the New Mexico Environmental Department (NMED) and other clients to provide information on the field work planning process for new upcoming sites.
* Assisting in the supervision of team members throughout all aspects of field work projects.
* Working as Subject Matter Expert concerning all water quality testing, procedures and reports.

Environmental Scientist I June 2006- April 2007HNTB Corporation San Antonio, TX

* Performed environmental planning services to federal, local governments as well as public and private clients in relation to transportation projects.
* Assisted and coordinated in document assessment and preparation to meet National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) standards (CE, EA, EIS reports).
* Performed field work in evaluating jurisdictional water way crossings, and other Edwards Aquifer recharge zone sensitivity issues along major highways in coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
* Provided geologic assessment and delineation of potential hazardous karst cavities including groundwater recharge features along land properties on highway US 281 for land acquisition by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
