I relish the opportunity of joining a new team as a team player and look forward to interacting with new work colleagues. Jan 03- May 03- Parmesan & Pepper hotel & Restaurant, Blackburn Lancs.

I worked as a restaurant waitress. I was a friendly and easy going member of staff and was able to work under pressure. I had to deal with customers on a day to day basis.

Jul 05 Salvation Army, Blackburn Lancs. - Voluntary Work.

From the start I worked at Salvation Army as a work placement given to me by our careers advisor at my sixth form college. The placement was meant to be for 1 week but I carried on volunteering for 5 weeks. I gained experience in dealing with people from different backgrounds and gained insight into running a shelter. I carried out tasks such as interviews with possible tenants, weekly progress reports and reception duties. I also arranged quiz nights for the tenants and took part in follow up reports on previous tenants with other members of staff.
Skills I gained and built up upon from work at The Salvation Army were mainly my communication skills. I was able to communicate with people from all different walks of life and make new friends.

Dec 06-Jan 07- 'NYE06', Dunkenhalsh, hotel & fitness club Accrington Lancs.

I worked during the months of December promoting a New Years Event around Lancashire. I distributed flyers and posters for the event and also worked on the day setting the event up. I helped in making some of the props and worked on the décor for the night. I was able to work under pressure calmly and perform to the best of my capabilities.

April 06- Oct 07- FJ Nichols Hotel and Evolution Lounge, Blackburn Lancs.

I worked at FJ Nichols hotel during the week serving food and beverages and worked late shifts at evolution lounge during the weekend nights. I was a valuable team member and contributed to the well organised and smooth running of the service provided.

April 07- May 07- Temporary Sales Assistant at Moda and Pelle. Leeds

I worked as a temporary sales assistant within the company of Moda and Pelle. My duties included developing my customer service skills which were monitored and informing customers of new offers and privileges available from Moda and Pelle. I also handled money and occasionally banked the takings after a days work. I gained impressive customer service skills from my role within Moda and Pelle, which would be useful in any type of role of employment. When set targets, such as sales for the day, I was able to meet these targets successfully with no trouble and even surprised myself.

April 09- Jul 09- Care Assistant, Caremark, Leeds.

From working within Caremark I was responsible for client's personal care. This involved looking after different ages of people from very different walks of life. From this position I was able to build on my communication skills with people and became more confident when approaching new situations.
