EDUCATION
1995 - 1999 Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, London.
MEng (Hons). Petroleum Engineering (2:1)
This degree with concentration in Reservoir Engineering has also provided me with a strong insight into Oilfield Economics, Petrophysics, Drilling & Production Engineering. I also had the opportunity to work on projects involving field data from North Sea.
MSc Thesis: Influence of estimating fluid properties with generalised correlations on reservoir performance prediction. A project now furthered to a PhD research under supervision of Dr. V. Vesovic.
1992 - 1994 Nelson & Colne College, Reedyford.
A Levels: Mathematics (A), Chemistry (B) & Physics (B).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
April 01 ¡V To date Schlumberger Oilfield Services ¡V Petroleum Engineer
Presently working in aforementioned capacity and involved in pressure transient analysis, well test design and multiphase meter data interpretation. Currently evaluating all perforation practices at our disposal, with the objective of improving overall well productivity. For sandstone reservoirs in Saudi, I also am involved in providing efficient sand management solutions. In addition also involved in designing and optimising artificial lift (gas lift, ESP & other pumps) solutions to optimise production.
Jan. 00 ¡V April 01 Schlumberger Oilfield Services ¡V Testing Field Engineer
Completed field training program and gained operational experience with bottom hole data acquisition, DST, TCP, conventional surface well test operations and multiphase metering. As part of the program, fulfilled assignments in France, U.A.E., U.K. and Saudi Arabia.
Sept. 98 Schlumberger Wireline & Testing, Aberdeen.
Worked as a trainee field engineer during a month long summer placement. I also gained a basic insight into Wireline operations from open hole logs to production logging.
June 98 - Aug. 98 Conoco (UK) Ltd. Aberdeen.
Worked with the Exploration Dept. for my industrial project in reservoir engineering. The work scope included optimisation of reservoir model for Britannia field in multidisciplinary team and also gained experience in database management, statistical modelling and reservoir performance prediction.
