MEng is a Staff Petrophysicist with 14 years experience specialising in petrophysical evaluation and 4 years in wireline/LWD operations.
Career history includes working currently as a petrophysicist to support logging and coring operations, and performing petrophysical evaluations of single and multi-wells. He has worked in multi-disciplinary teams using petrophysical results and integrating with geophysical, geological and engineering data for optimum exploitation of oil and gas. Previously, he was a logging engineer for Schlumberger providing open and cased-hole logging services.

Has worked on reservoirs that include shaly-sands, carbonates, conglomerates and fractures. He is able to integrate various sources of data – viz. mudlogs, image logs, NMR, core data (petrography, capillary pressure, routine and SCAL) and formation pressures – to characterise the mechanics of reservoir rock and fluids contained therein. He is competent in PC and workstation-based petrophysical softwares that include GeoFrame (ELANPlus and PVP), Crocker and Terralog.
Besides providing mentoring and guidance to junior petrophysicists, he has developed and teaches training courses on wireline/LWD logging operations and petrophysical interpretation. A member of SPE, he has authored several technical papers at SPE conferences and published a paper on Reservoir Characterisation using Hydraulic Units. He holds a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering degree from the Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering degree from The Sydney University.
