I am a Senior Staff Petroleum Engineer with more than 10 Years of experience in all areas of Petroleum Engineering and Operations in the Tibisti, Ghani and Amal producing fields in Libya. My experience includes design and implementation of production optimization schemes on gas lift, electric submersible pumps, sucker rod and natural flowing oil wells. I have optimized acid stimulation, completion and workover techniques in high pressure oil environments. Most of experience is in Amal the biggest Field of the company.

Work Experience:
Since September 1995    , I am working in Amal Field with job title of Senior Staff Production Engineer and have worked in following capacities:
June 1999 - present
Production Supervisor
    In absence of Production Supervisor,( Field Rotation Schedule) I’m responsible of managing production engineering department activity and supervising a team of engineers working in all areas of production engineering including GL, ESP, Wire line, well testing, and work over. In this capacity my job functions are as follow:
•    Coordinating with my supervisor in Head quarter in Tripoli the related daily activities.
•    Coordinating with the Operations and Maintenance departments in order to implement correct and cost effective P.E. practice.
•    Supervising the well tester by coordinating with the operations department in scheduling and forwarding daily and monthly reports of the test results to reservoir engineering department in head Quarter.
•    Issuing training (P.E. activity familiarization) program for newly recruited engineers.
•    Prepare statement of requirements (SOR’s) and submit it to my Tripoli supervisor.
•    Supervising Amal gas lift valves repair shop. Prepare scope of work to repair and up-grading Camco RMI gas lift valves.
•    Attending the meetings held in the field to discus the related aspects with the field Area Field Superintendent and the other departments supervisors, and the meetings with the contractors who perform projects and the field study work as per various contracts.
•    Involved in the preparation and execution stages of Successful fracturing stimulation treatment conducted on one of the damaged well.
•    Preparing all the reports describing the activities in the field to my supervisor in town on daily, weekly, and monthly bases supported with the recommendation.
•     Involved in horizontal well completion, (Testing , Logging, CT and CTPLT …etc.

Jan. 1998 to June 1999
Gas Lift Engineer
75% of the field production from Gas Lift wells and In this capacity I had been performing the following duties:
•    Responsible for the gas lift design using two software packages: i) Harmony II software from Undus and lately ii) Wellflo software from EPS, being utilized for design and Optimization purposes. Camco RMI gas lift valves and side pocket mandrels type MMG & MMGC.
•    Monitoring the G/L wells by analyzing the down hole pressures and temperatures and the production test results.
•    Follow-up and trouble shooting of Amal field gas lift operations with full coordination with field production operation department.
•    and analyzing the retrieved valves for the malfunctioning reasons.
•    Involved in Gas Lift equipment inventory and ordering of the new required equipment, materials and tools.
•    Recommending wells for production multi test in order to optimize the required gas injection and generating well performance curve for each gas lift wells.
•    Supervised water wash programs to remove the salt bridges inside the well tubulares.

Jan. 1997 to Jan. 1998
Electrical Submersible Pumps Engineer
20% of the field production from ESP wells In Amal field the whole ESP equipment are supplied by Reda Pump Company including ( wide range of ESP units, cables, switchboards, splicing materials, testing equipment, all the required repairing.
In this capacity I worked in following areas:
•    Involved in ESP design using two software packages Pumpsel software and lately Subpump software based on the data available and the rates required...etc.
•    Involved in troubleshooting the ESP wells with cooperation with Reda technician by checking the parameters (pressures, fluid levels utilizing the echo meter instrument, flow rates, volts, amps.
•    Y tool installed in some wells to allow wireline works to extend to measure the down hole pressure and temperature…etc.) to achieve the best run life of ESP installations.
•    Ordering required equipment and Monitoring the ESP equipment inventory
•    Reviewing the running, pulling and teardown reports for failure analysis for the new installations design and future recommendation.

Jan 1996 to Jan 1997
Workover Engineer
Working as a production and workover engineer at Amal field performing
various production engineering assignments, In this position I was responsible for all workover aspects such as workovers scheduling, designing and generating workover programs with cost estimating, following up with the rig supervisor the workover operations progress, resolving the encountered problems during the workover, coordinating with my Supervisor for any changes in the procedures, contact and discussing with the services companies for up-coming jobs and evaluating the offers.
Most of the workovers I performed are in deep and shallow areas such as fill clean out, GL strings change out, ESP strings change out, stimulation, casing leaks repairs, water shut off’s, well logging and plus some coiled tubing operations…etc. Among other activities I also used to monitor the worked over well and evaluate the well performance, preparing the final workover summary reports, production test results, feed back on workover procedure, and future recommendations.

Sept. 1995 to Jan. 1996
Wireline Trainee Engineer
Obtained training and participated in the wireline activities including preparing the wireline programs, scheduling wireline jobs and following up the operations with wireline company operators. In this position I also learnt the running of a the Gas Lift Workshop and activities such as setting, aging, testing and overhauling the gas lift valves. In our Tibisti Field I worked in the following positions:

Jan. 1993 to Sept.1995
Production Engineer.
Worked as assistant engineer and familiarized my self with the artificial lift systems, workovers and other field operations.
I gained insight in design of sucker rod pump and ESP installations using computer software. Monitored the SRPs by checking the fluid levels and the dynamometer charts analysis. I also prepared and supervised workovers, consisting of ESP & SRP change out, stimulation jobs etc.

Sept 1992 to Jan 1993
Rotational Training
I had my 4 months training program in all company’s operational areas to familiarize my self with the working environment in Veba’s oil fields ( Tibisti, Jofra, Ghani and Amal field) in Libyan desert and to increase my knowledge of the nature of oil drilling and production operations.
