RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES
Preparation , Implementation, monitoring of QA/QC Procedures, QCPs, Contract Quality Plan, Procedures/Work Instructions. Review of Sub-contractor/Supplier CQP, QCP, I & TP. Monitoring of all sub-contractor’s Quality system & records of all inspection & calibration.
Liaison with Client, Third Party Certification/Inspection Agency. Attend ISO surveillance audits. Report directly to Project Manager on matters related to project and to Quality Manager on matters related to quality.
Preparation & Establishing of PQR/WPS for various materials, Welder Qualification. Monitoring / Inspection of fit-up, welding, preheating, welding consumables. Preparing Welding Repair Procedure. Co-ordinating NDT and other related activities, review & interpretation of radiography films, PWHT chart and other NDT results. Inspection of grit blasting, painting, shrink sleeve applications. Holiday testing of coated pipes. Inspection of stringing, lowering, sand padding, hydrostatic testing activities of pipeline works.
Allocation of job to inspectors. Check maintenance and calibration of welding rectifiers/ generators. Making welding plan in co-ordination with planning engineer. Maintaining daily welding progress report and marking of joints on isometrics and plan drawing. Checking of Isometric piping drawings drawn by company draftsmen against P & ID and Plan Drawing.
Preparing test packs, as built drawings and final documentation for handing over of project documents to client.
