Irish nationals. Staff size varied from 12 to 15.

Major Achievements: Established a readily updateable, computerized, ore resource/reserve, estimation system.
Established a minable ore model for the problematic Al Amar prospect. Trained multinational staff in the use of proper, practical, geologic procedures and in the use of computer applications. Established an atmosphere of friendliness and co-operation within the Geology Department and with the
Technical Services Department resulting in immediate efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsible for: All geologic activities involving both surface and underground exploration, evaluation, development and production of several gold deposits and prospects. These activities included: the establishment, staffing and management of the geology department; design and execution of the exploration and development programs; budget preparation;
supervision of drilling and mining contractors; microcomputer application; geologic modeling; ore reserve calculation; report preparation for senior management; collaboration on feasibility studies; liaison and collaboration with joint venture partners; technical presentations to government agencies, investors and mining analysts; stope planning and grade control; evaluations of advanced exploration projects submitted by other companies. All operations as Acting Mine Manager, in the absence of the General Mine Manager.

Major Achievements: Played a key role in bringing both the
Stock and Hislop Mines into production (totaling 800 tons per day combined production) from the exploration stages. Created and built up a professional and effective geology department.
Created comprehensive geologic databases and accurate models of various ore deposits. Obtained $1 million in grants and loans from government agencies. Instrumental in reducing $22 million
Swiss debt to $3 million debt and equity. Prepared the government required closure plan for the Hislop Mine.
Introduced and effectively implemented microcomputer application into the geology, survey and administration departments through personally training the staff and writing various computer programs. Successfully troubleshot problematic situations in mine production and resolved interdepartmental conflicts. Found ore.
