Responsible for integrating the acquired Chevron Santa Barbara Channel assets into Venoco's operations. Established technical and operations teams. Negotiated post-closing issues with Chevron. Achieved a smooth transition of large workforce from Chevron to Venoco. Turned the marginal Sockeye field into Venoco's highest cashflow asset with costs down 35% and production up 25% since the acquisition. This acquisition alone has gained over $100 million net to Venoco and has a significant remaining value to the company.

Managed engineering and economic evaluation for company's application in Norway's 15th Exploration Licensing Round including the development of a subsea development cost estimating model. Conoco's Management Committee representative for the Statfjord and satellites fields (Conoco's single largest asset worldwide), Murchison, Heidrun, Smørbukk, Smørbukk Sør, and Snøhvit fields. Served on Technical Committees for Troll, Visund, and Huldra field developments. Evaluated a variety of field development concepts including FPSO, TLP, subsea, GBS, and semi-sub. Participated in formulation of the business strategy for the subsidiary, focusing on the future exploration strategy and business opportunities. Led asset valuation and proposal to management regarding the $70 MM trade of several of Conoco's Norwegian assets with TOTAL in 1993. Evaluated several other acquisition opportunities.
