Mackenzie Gas Project, Inuvik area facility

- Working on conceptual and preliminary engineering process design phase of MGP (1200MMSCFD) project, a joint venture of ColtKBR.

- Developed process and utility P&IDs. Also prepared drawings for the LP, HP flare collection systems, and the utilities supply/return distribution systems of the facility.

- Prepared equipment specification and instrument data sheets.

- Performing PSV sizing calculations for different cases, and prepared PSV data sheets.

Process Engineer Colt Engineering Shell Scotford Complex Aug 04 – Sep 04

- Worked on front-end engineering phase of the Shell AHS upgrading project.

- Located 60 tie-in points of the process and utility streams from the existing plant.

- Developed the P&IDs for the new tie-in locations, and prepared demolition drawings.

- Performed heat loss calculations and estimated the area of steam coil required for tanks.

Process Engineer OGDC, UCH Gas Field, Pakistan 1998–2000

- Scheduled and monitored progress of pre-commissioning activities of UCH project. Also prepared mechanical completion and hydro-test package documents for the client.

- Commissioned two trains of gas desulphurization and three trains of gas dehydration (including gas gathering system), on UCH project site.

- Saved valuable commissioning man-hours by trouble-shooting logic discrepancies in DCS, SCADA operating systems of the gas sweetening plant.

- Pre-trained process operators for plant orientation and acquaintance with SOPs before the actual commissioning started. Conducted onsite training of 12 DCS operators for developing skills and knowledge required to operate this gas treating facility.

- Onsite training of 20 field operators for performing field activities e.g., loading absorption chemicals, solution filters, and responding to routine/emergency process circumstances, etc.

- Liaison with MDEA vendor Dow US for resolving the MDEA foaming problem. Identified the cause as fouling of solution and rectified by following solution-cleaning procedures by Dow.

- Resolved issues regarding acid gas incinerator's compliance to local environmental regulations for SO2 emissions, raised by local community workers.

- Coordinated with local regulation authorities and incinerator vendor Zeeco Inc. US, to review the detailed calculations of ground and air emission levels of SO2, against the prevailing standards. Presented these results in the form of PowerPoint presentations to representatives from local regulation authorities and community workers to satisfy their concerns based on factual data.

- Generated daily commissioning progress reports and a weekly progress report for the management, which consisted of planned and current-commissioning activities with highlights of critical issues.
