Venezuela

Assigned to Upstream Surface Facilities PMT (Project Management Team) for planning, scheduling & control and cost controls/estimates supervision in the Hamaca Project, located in eastern Venezuela in the Orinoco Belt. The objective of the Upstream Surface Facilities is to provide sufficient facilities to produce, process and transport to the Upgrader 190.000 BPSD of extra heavy crude. The overall project involves around of $900MM for all the phases and more than $ 600MM for Development and Commercial, to be developed in three years. This project is executed under EPC Lump Sum and/or Reimbursable basis with major national and international contractors.

In 2 years with Petrolera Ameriven he has been promoted twice with maximum PMP rating (5-exceptional) from Cost Control Specialist (July 00 – Mar 01) to Costs Control & Planning Supervisor (Mar 01 – Jan 02) and since February 2002 he has been in charge of all Upstream Facilities Project Controls.

• Supervising of 7 EPC projects under simultaneous execution with 4 different contractors companies all valued over $400MM.
