PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
As the Head of Planning and Survey Division for a major forestry company in Indonesia, I am responsible for the short term and long term wood supply planning, infrastructure planning, and plantation planning with a staff of over 500 people in head office and in district offices. Directly oversea an annual operation budget of over US$ 10,000,000.
As the Head of the Water Management Department, Planning and Survey Division for a major forestry plantation company in Indonesia, I am responsible for the management and operation of the canal system within the concession areas to support the plantation (harvesting and planting) operation with a staff of about 90. The concession areas cover over 850,000 ha within the Riau Province in Indonesia. Of the 850,000 ha, 70% is in wet/peat land. It is one of the largest peat land plantation operations. The system consists of thousands of kilometer of canal, a few hundred water control structures and hundreds of monitoring devices. The canal system is used for transportation during harvesting operation and drainage during planting operation. Directly oversea an annual operation/construction budget of over US$ 5,000,000.
As Construction Manager for a major international water treatment company, I was responsible for the construction, and testing and commissioning of two water treatment plants (with a capacity of 150 MLD or 35 MGD each) in Malaysia. The total contract value of the two projects is over US$ 15,000,000.
As General Manager for Tender and Application for a major international water treatment company, I was responsible for providing technical sales of water and wastewater treatment systems to various industries including microelectronic, oil and gas, power, pulp and paper, and petrochemical. I have directly involved in securing a number of projects with a total contract values over US$ 25,000,000 including the Wafertech wastewater project (Malaysia), Hoping power plant wastewater treatment project (Taiwan), Shen Lee Oil Field DI water project (China), Shai Don Hou Sewage Treatment Plant Project (China), CUF sludge treatment project (Malaysia), Gendang Sanyan wastewater project, and Bowen Power Plant DI project (Thailand).
As Project Engineer/Manager, I have successfully implemented a number of hazardous waste projects for the U.S. EPA and U.S. Air Force Center for Environmental Excellent (AFCEE) with a total contract value of over US$ 60,000,000.00. Responsibility included site investigation, work plans, modeling, system design, plans and specifications, proposals, cost estimation, project management, and client interactions.
As Project Engineer/Manager, I have successfully implemented a number of wastewater treatment plant projects for a number of municipal clients with a total contract value of over US$ 35,000,000. My responsibility included O&M manuals, system startup and commissioning, operation training, process evaluation and troubleshooting, and project management.
As Engineer/Project Engineer, I have successfully implemented a number environmental projects including site and environmental assessment, toxicity evaluation, sludge evaluation, sewage collection system evaluation and rehabilitation, discharge and stormwater permit application, flood studies, and water and air quality modeling. The total contract value of these projects is over US$ 20,000,000.
