- Planning and supervision of erection and commissioning of mechanical plant and equipment for a coke dry cooling and waste heat recovery boiler plant as part of a steel project involving waste heat boiler piping, rotating equipments, dry cooling chambers, belt conveyors, material handling equipments such as Cranes and miscellaneous steel plant heavy machinery and equipment.

- Co-ordination with the materials issue/transportation section for the issue of material packages from stores in accordance with the construction requirements.
- Quality control verification including clearance of construction survey alignment sheets for the equipment and dry cooling Tanks civil foundations, verification of Tank and allied linings alignments (12 nos. of large Diameter Tanks), equipment drive coupling alignments etc. for pumps, heavy machinery drives, Compressor drives etc.
- Verification of alignment sheets for the Pusher Car, Coke Car and Charging Car Tracks and ensuring that the installation is in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
- Verification of installation of Belt Conveyors (8 nos.) and allied items for proper alignment and completeness of installation.
- Verification of alignment sheets for overhead Cranes and supervision of erection work on Cranes including witnessing and certification of Drive and frames alignments.
- Verification of sub-contractor submitted payment invoices for construction quantities claimed and approval for certification by the higher management.
- Review and advice on the best logic/sequence for construction.
- Monitoring and reporting of actual construction progress at site.
- Preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.

- Design, detailed engineering, procurement assistance, site supervision and commissioning for the setting-up of a 20,000 TPA Carbon Black plant based on technology from Sid Richardson Carbon Company, USA. The plant consisted of oil (refinery feedstock) and fuel handling systems, boilers, water treatment plant, bagging plant etc. in addition to the technological units.
