Area: Engaged on a Turnkey contract drilling a 21 slot template located in 100 metres water depth in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil, South America. All wells were deviated wells to a maximum depth of 3450 metres with deviations of up to 47¢X.
On completion of the above contract and due to no prospect of further contracts, the unit the "Tainaron" was subsequently sold and the drill crews laid off.

Contract (3): Vertical Wildcat exploration wells drilled successfully under Turnkey regime.
On completion of contract 3, Petrobras notified all expatriate contractors including Tropic Drilling Ltd that no further contracts were to be awarded to foreign contractors. After wrapping up of operations, the unit was transferred to Port of Spain, Trinidad and was subsequently stacked until I was recalled back to Brazil in November 1984.
