Work Experience
(A) Environment
* Liaison with Government Bodies of State & Center on environmental issues.
* Applying & obtaining environmental Permits/NOCs/Consents.
* Compliance of conditions of Permits/NOCs/Consents.
* Coordinate with consultants for various Environmental Studies/Audits (EIA, CRZ Survey, Thermal Inversion, Marine Environment, Socio-economic, etc.)
* Environmental Monitoring for the complex (Ambient air, Stack emission, Storm water, Ground water, Sea water, Noise, Workplace air, etc.)
* Environmental issues of Production Plants (Ethylene, Polymers, EO-EG, Caustic-chlorine, VCM-PVC, etc.) and utilities plants in the Petrochemicals Complex.
* Environmental aspects for Captive Power Plant, Captive Jetty, Cross-country Hydrocarbon Pipelines, Centralized ETP, Effluent Disposal Pipeline (to sea), etc.
* Coordinate with consultant and developer for design & development of 'Landfill Facility' for solid waste management, respectively. (Including Bio-medical waste management)
* Coordinate with 'Effluent Treatment Plant' for trouble-shooting and guidance.
* Environmental Awareness activities for employees, their family, and surrounding villagers.
* Green belt development around the complex.
* Rural development and Social upliftment activities (coordination with NGO).
* 'Faculty Member' for training employees & workers.
* Coordinator for 'ISO 14001' implementation integrated with ISO 9001 & ISO 18001 {under progress}
(B) Safety, Health, and Fire
* Coordinate with consultants for various Safety related Studies/Audits (Risk Analysis, Emergency Management Plan, HAZOP, Safety Audits, etc.)
* Radiation Safety for Nucleonic Gauges (liaison with AERB/BARC)
* HSE coordinator for 'industrial hygiene & occupational health' monitoring & improvement project in the complex (initially noise parameter).
* Coordinate with Insurance Company & TAC for 'Fire Insurance Policy' (part involvement)
* Coordinate with 'Disaster Management Center' of the Local Industrial Association.
* Worked as 'safety engineer' (in shifts) during 'shutdown maintenance activities' in process plants (till date on 5 occasions)
