SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Results-oriented, bi-lingual leader with proven skills in project management and finance developed over seventeen years while managing multi-million dollar operations. Managed administrative and financial ends of a $107 million joint venture with a Mexican engineering & construction firm. Implemented and enforced financial/accounting controls and procedures for a $30M Mexico based entity experiencing negative net income. Willbros USA, Inc.
Project Manager - Mexico City, Mexico, April 2004 to present
- Managed all administrative & financial reporting of Willbros' interests in a $107 million joint venture with an engineering construction firm in Mexico. Hired staff to oversee field accounting.
- Due diligence studies on the acquisition of Demar Constructora S.A. de C.V.
Schlumberger, (WesternGeco Division)
Business Analyst - Veracruz, Mexico, 2002 to 2004
- Implemented and enforced financial/accounting controls for a $30M operation in Mexico experiencing large losses. These efforts enabled a 20% reduction in expenditures and allowed a break-even of the operations during the second year
- Focal point for the implementation of the Daily Cost Sheet (a cost monitoring mechanism). This enabled tracking of expenses on a weekly basis so that variances against pre-set norms could be scrutinized
- Major contributor for a new bid spreadsheet used in all tenders for work in Mexico land operations. This sheet featured historical cost data and salary tables for all employee categories that minimized the possibility of future mis-bids
- Prepared the twelve month rolling financial forecast of Mexico Land Operations for upper management
- Compiled Net Income Statement for all of Mexico's Land Operations in accordance with GAAP
- Opened new office in Veracruz, Mexico in April 2002 which served as hub for land finance reporting
- Managed vendors with whom $800K per month in local purchases were made. Vendors were made to compete against one another by being competitive on prices, quality and deliverability
- Verified fixed asset accounting balances and managed entries of $11M net book value, 8000 line items
- Audited accounting, procurement and payroll processes to insure compliance with local laws and company standards

- Managed the finances of a $24M project - responsible for integrity of Net Income Statement
- Established accounting procedures & controls to insure compliance with Schlumberger norms
- With the General Manager, opened and staffed a new office for company's operations in Bolivia
- Hired all accounting, purchasing and HR staff and trained them to assume their roles in the organization
