1.0 Active member of HAZOP study team for LNG, Hydrogen and Ethylene plants.

2.0 Basic engineering packages for hydrogen, ethylene, syngas and gas treating plants

3.0 Detail engineering for hydrogen, ethylene, syngas, UOP platformer/CCR/Pentax process units and gas treating plants

10.0 Preparation of proposal estimate, technical bid evaluation, planning and scheduling instrument project activities and manpower.

11.0 Participated in no. of vendor training program, seminar, lectures and presentation in systems and field instrumentation including foundation field bus technology application and SIL classifications.

DETAILS OF WORK executed during the period from 1982 to 1990 via UHDE India

1.0 Carried out only lump sum turnkey turkey projects as lead instrument engineer and manager.

2.0 Preparation of PID, instrument specification /datasheets, PLC logics and DCS documents including follow-ups and inspections.

3.0 Installation and commissioning of instruments after detail engineering of most of the Caustic soda plants in India, HCL plant, H2SO4 plant, large NH3 storage & handling system with boil off compressor in fertilizer plant and large refinery tank farm.

4.0 Carried out detail engineering for gross root UOP Linear Alkaline Benzene plant consisting hydro treating unit, Molex unit, N-paraffin unit and HF unit with Yokogawa DCS system

5.0 Completely familiarized with UOP process/specifications/requirements and took active participation in PID discussion with UOP at USA for N-paraffin unit and styrene unit.

6.0 Conducted revamp feasibility study on Ammonium nitrate, Ammonium phosphate, phosphoric acid plants

Details of work carried out during the period from 1974 to 1982 as an engineer in BHEL India

1.0 Worked as an instrument engineer for startup and commissioning team in Power project Division of executing gross root thermal power plants throughout India.

2.0 Icommissioning of instruments in steam generation plants (licensed by Combustion Engineering USA) right from 10MW to 210MW power stations using gas, oil and coal firing.

3.0 Commissioning of boiler Bailey super heater/re-heater temperature control system with tilting tangential corner fired burners, de-superheating stations, boiler drum level control, air/fuel ratio control, pulverized coal mill feeder and air temperature control and soot blowers

4.0 Commissioning of Turbine instrumentation including Sulzer control system for turbine HP and LP bypass system; heater level control and condenser hot well level control.

5.0 Commissioning of gas, oil, coal burners flame scanners with 2out 3 voting system and Furnace Safeguard Supervisory System

6.0 Checking and commissioning of complete boiler and turbine startup, running and shut down interlock system leading to the complete operational knowledge boiler and turbine.

7.0 Also worked in pneumatic instruments and controls.
