JOB DESCRIPTION
Part I
Broad Functions
Control room operator reliever.In-charge of kneading area,extruding area,drying section,calciners,chemical charging,product storage/packing, and all major plant utilities and auxiliaries such as chillers,boilers,air compressors,utility tanks,generator,waste water treatment plant,waste gas treatment plant and do some product analysis necessary during shift.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as control board operator reliever.
Does routine inspection, Reports directly to the shit superintendent of any abnormalities of equipment in the plant.
Operates steam boilers, instrument/utility air compressor and chillers. Monitor fuel day tank, cooling/process water tanks levels.
Operates water purification system, reverse osmosis and deionizer. Ensure that water requirement in the plant are treated within the specified range.
Operates kneading machine and coordinates with control room operators regarding the kneading process.
Takes samples, analyse and do some adjustments if required.
Operates extruder machine, does some adjustments and replace die plates as required.
Coordinates with control room operators and other field operators regarding field parameter adjustments.
Operates product dryers and calciners. Ensure that temperatures are all on the specified range and do same adjustments as needed.
Monitor all bucket elevators, belt conveyors, vibrating/rotary feeders, belt scale feeders, cutter and breakers.
Maintains the emission of wastewater and waste gas treatment facilities confirms with the Ministry of Environment standard.
Records all operating condition during shift including tank levels and record on log sheet.
Coordinates with maintenance personnel; isolates pumps and other equipments that needs repairs.Conducts leaktest and commissioned such equipment after completion of jobs.
Operates packing machine. Ensures the correct and accurate product weighing.
Observes safety rules and serve as Member of Fire Brigade and First Aider.
Assist on the routine procedures done during start-up/shutdown of the plant.
Does regular housekeeping and ensures that workplace is clean and safe.
Part II
Broad Functions
In charge of control room,drying section,process area,extruder/sifting area and all plant auxillaries such as utility tanks,boiler,generator,utility and instrument air compressor,water treatment facilities and some laboratory analysis required during shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operates and control panel and see to it that all operating parameters are within operating range. Does adjustments as required.
Monitors and maintain good operating conditions of reactors, exchangers and other major equipment in the process area.
Operates steam boiler and inspect condition of boiler auxiliaries and instruments.
Inspect personally all equipment which is to be worked on to ensure if it is safe for any maintenance job on plant equipment in collaboration with maintenance and Safety Engineer.
Operates water demineralizer, softener and cooling towers.Sees to it that water requirements are treated as required within the specified range of specifications.
Routine inspection of all equipments such as pumps, motors, compressor and blower.
Operates Waste Water Treatment and Waste Gas Treatment Plant.
Does regular housekeeping and ensure the area of responsibility is clean, safe and pleasant to work in.
Observes rules and policies of company
Make necessary parameters to meet product specification.
Coordinates with other operators regarding field adjustment.
Does the parameter reading and the product sampling regularly which includes some of laboratory analysis.
Notifies shift supervisor of any abnormality or malfunction of the plant operation
Ensure that all jobs done were recorded and turnover to the next shift any unfinished work to be done.
Responsible for level monitoring of all storage and rundown tanks.
Performs routine procedure being undertaken when starting up and/or shutting down the plant.
Does loading and unloading operation of raw materials, chemicals and finished products.
Part III
A. Broad Functions
Ensures the availability and reliability of plant rotating equipment and auxiliaries by close monitoring,inspection and checking while the unit is in operation.Actually does the repair/overhauling of plant rotating equipment and other machinery.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts preventive maintenance job on plant rotating equipment such as vibration monitoring,bearing status checking and implementation of lubrication schedule based on Preventive Maintenance Program.
Conducts routinary inspection on plant rotating equipment,check for leaks,belt tension,unusual sound,oil level and for any abnormalities that may occur during operation.
Troubleshoots,repaires and maintains plant rotating equipment and other equipment used in the plant.
Analyzes/checks caused of failure of equipments parts and recommends action to prevent the reoccurrence/failure of the same nature.
Install all types of mechanical seals,packing,fits,aligns and/or adjust bearings,bushings,sleeves,shaftings,couplings,gearboxes and drives.
Personally attends and witnesses the test run and commissioningof new/newly repaired machinery and observes if operating normally.
Install new equipment and other machinery needed in process improvements.
Fabricate mechanical adaptors,machine components/spare parts,special tools and other essential parts needed in the reconditioning and repair of plant equipments.
Do some welding jobs such as repair of damaged machine parts,pump casing,repair/fabrication of new machine baseplate,piping,etc.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in coordinating/inspection activities of contractors doing major repair of plant equipment during shutdown.
