EXPERIENCE:-
NOVEMBER1991-JANUARY 1993: JR. INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN with ONGC for their IOGPT unit at Panvel, New Bombay.
FEBRUARY 1993 – JANUARY 1997: INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN with AL-HASSAN TRADING & CONTRACTING CO. L.L.C, MUSCAT, SULTANATE OF OMAN for their Instrument service contract with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
Attending daily jobs allotted by the PDO Supervisor like PM Check, Alarm and Trip Checks and other instrument related jobs coming up every now and then called for by the Operations Department like check and calibrate the instruments for abnormal readings, field calibration of control valves, Check and service fire & gas and smoke detectors,etc. Procurement of work permits and canceling them once the job is completed, coordinating with the area control room operations and field operators while attending the jobs. Supervising of projects for calibration, installation, commissioning, hot cutover, and check the contractor's work as per the P& ID provided. Also involved in plant shutdowns under the supervision of shutdown management team.
OCTOBER 1997 – MARCH 2001: INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN with AARKAY INSTRUMENTS PVT. LTD, MUMBAI an EPC contracting company in the oil & gas and petrochemical sector, Promoted as Junior Engineer since October 2000.
Responsibilities involve installation, calibration, and loop checking and commissioning and trouble shooting of Instruments. Coordinate with the principals, and main contractors for the planned jobs and brief them the proceedings. Procuring the work permits and make sure that all the safety procedures are brought in practice. Allocating the jobs to instrument electricians teams worked with us and check their work as per the drawing provided.
SEPTEMBER 2001 - TODATE: INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN with M/S UDEEL,Abu Dhabi for their maintenance contracts, major overhauls, and shut down maintenance contracts with ADCO, ADGAS, GASCO & Well Head Tower Maintenance Programme for ADMA-OPCO. Also attended three major shut downs for BAPCO Refinery in Bahrain for their FCCU, VDU & CGRU units.
Attend daily jobs alloted by the Shutdown Supervisor, procuring the work permit and coordinate with the area operators and control room operators for attending the jobs.
Jobs involves Cleaning and Servicing of Field Instruments, replacing the old instruments with new ones as per the shutdown plan, alarm and trip checks, calibration of instruments like transmitters, level trols, switches, stroke checking of control valves, I/P Converters, and field calibrating them if required. Checking of temperature points and thermowells and replace the temperature elements and thermowells if required.
Check the impulse tubing and fittings for any leaks and replace them if required. Installing electronic transmitters in the place of pneumatic transmitters and commissioning them as per the procedures lay down. Also checking the ESD loops as per the procedures. Check the fire & gas and smoke detectors and alarms and service the detectors.
Attended Safety training conducted at the plant site and listened to fire & Safety instructions and brought them in practice, also attended the jobs called for by the operations during start up and rectified the problems faced by them.
Exposed to water injection SCADA system in the oil fields.
