Position: Drilling Fluids Engineer (Mud Engineer)
Responsibilities:
Field Mud Engineer on land, swamps and off-shore rigs (Jack-ups and Semi-Subs) in Nigeria. Worked on land rig in the Chad Republic for Exxon Chad operations.
Worked on different rigs using Water base mud systems:- PHPA, KCl Polymer, Aquadrill (KCL/PHPA/Glycol), KCL-PHPA system, HTHP Polymer System, Pyro-Drill system, Bio-Drill System, Lignosulphonate system, Saturated Saltwater System, etc.
Oil Base Mud:- Carbo-Drill, Carbo-Tec, Synthetic mud system: Iso-teq (Isomerised Olefin) & Para-teq (linear alkane) base fluids).
Workover and completion fluids involving the use of heavy or light weight brine, sized salt systems, sized Calcium carbonate systems etc and associated different well bore clean up pills & chemicals.
Co-ordinate load outs to the rig and manage well site inventories, etc.
Ensure that our operations comply with corporate and local requirements
Worked as a supervisor in the Liquid Mud plant at Onne, Port Harcourt. carried out mud formulation, mixing, blending, conditioning etc to meet clients needs.
Worked in the base mud laboratory. Carried out Quality Control operations for drilling, Completion and work-over fluid. Pilot testing different formulations to be used in the field for drilling, workover and completion operation. Ran pilot tests for formulations for tenders.
