PROFILE

I am a practical and dedicated superintendent with extensive operational and planning experience in open pit mines to a senior management level. An ability to meet new challenges has seen my appointment to Superintendent Mine Production at Kelian Equatorial Mining. My management style is strong, honest and affable, with an emphasis on teamwork and results. Safety and environmental requirements are an integral part of my role. Despite the difficult safety environment in Indonesia, safety performance at KEM is in the best performing quartile for Rio Tinto Group operations.

FUTURE DIRECTION
KEM has provided the opportunity to develop my leadership and technical skills in a challenging operating environment. KEM is scheduled to cease operations in December 2004 and mining operations will essentially end with exit from the pit in mid 2003. The KEM mine closure provides an opportunity for new challenges. Areas of interest going forward include challenging mine operations environments within Rio Tinto, either overseas or in Australia.
