1) Responsible for Static analysis of Critical Piping systems connected to Hot Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reboilers, Compressors, Steam Turbines, Transfer Lines, Drums, Reactors, Heaters, and Air Fin Fan coolers, Filters.
2) Performed Analysis of Non metallic Piping systems Like GRE / FRP Piping systems of Desalination Plant and Slop Lines in Marine Offshore terminal as per UKOOA.
3) Conversant with modeling of all Piping Hardware for pipe Stress Analysis Like Rod Hangers, Variable Spring Hangers, Constant Spring Hangers, Dynamic Restraints like Snubbers, Sway braces, High stiffness struts.
4) Conversant with Modeling of all varieties of Expansion Bellow elements and modeling techniques like spring Can modeling, Trunnion offset modeling, Equipment skirt modeling WRC 297, WRC 107 etc.
5) Responsible for the design of Special Pipe supports, Standard Pipe Supports and Steel Structural Supports.

9) Responsible for establishing philosophy for Hot-Cold analysis for pumps and columns and worst case analysis scenarios.
10) Responsible for establishing the entire Work procedures and Work instructions for carrying out Pipe Stress Analysis. This is the preliminary requirement for the purpose of ISO 9002 certification preparation.

15) Responsible for the development of number of software Automation Packages to facilitate stress analysis job distribution, job tracking, and effective documentation and Man-hour estimation for a given Project. These are
* SATS Package: Stress Analysis Tracking system Package. This package keeps the track of generation of stress analysis Query (SAQ) by Piping layout and its allotment to stress analyst and for extracting overall status/ progress report, Man-hour consumption reports.
* SSTS Package: This package keeps record of all the datasheets of Variable Spring Hangers and Constant Spring Hangers generated for a Project.
* COC Package: Caesar Output Compilation Package, a software utility program that summarises the Load as obtained from Caesar Restraint summary Report into a form from which the Loads can be electronically transferred to Civil Design Groupose of Civil Support design.
* CLL Package: Critical Line List Generation and Caesar File naming Package automatically generates a unique Caesar File name and stores all the information of Lines analysed and creates Critical Line List information for the Project.
* S2C Package: This package converts the STAAD Pro 2002 neutral file to Caesar II structural file which can than be used for carrying piping and structural composite analysis.
16) Responsible for carrying out Finite Element Analysis using STAAD Pro 2002 for typical piping problems. The Mesh generation was done manually using a Computer Program in ¡¥C¡¦ programming language.
17) Responsible for carrying out FEA using NozzPro for Local Analysis of Nozzles and Structural attachments to Pressure vessels.
18) Extensive experience in solving actual onsite Piping related problems, Failure investigation Reports and scenario simulations. These jobs were carried out for the operational plant Central Engineering Services Department. Few of these cases are given below: -
* Chloride Treater Vibrations: A study and Analysis carried out for severe vibrations reported in the new Chloride Treater addition in the Aromatics unit of petrochemical complex. The resolutions when implemented at site resulted in complete elimination of piping vibrations.
* Coke Drum Overhead Line Vibrations: The overhead vapor Line connected to the Coke Drums in the Delayed Coker Units experiences severe vibrations. The same were studied and analysed. Report for recommendations for vibration attenuation has been sent to Foster Wheeler USA for ratification.
* CPP Steam Turbine Vibration Problem: A Report on the investigation of Nozzle Load evaluation due to the connected piping, as Probable cause of vibrations was prepared and send to GHH Borsig, Steam Turbine Vendor.
* Recycle Gas Compressor Vibration Problem: A report on the Piping Nozzle load evaluation and recommendation to reduce the nozzle load with Compressor online prepared and implemented to reduce vibrations seen by the Compressor.
* 72¡¨ Flare line Collapse Failure investigation: An investigation of 72¡¨ LLP Flare line Collapse failure simulation Report was prepared. A complete redesign of the Line was prepared and implemented.
* SBC Vibration Problem: Small Bore Connection Vibration problem and their subsequent failures were faced at the start of the refinery complex. A complete audit of the plants in the Refinery Complex was taken and resolutions were given to eliminate SBC failures.
* Shutdown Support: Various Upset conditions were simulated in the analyses to cater to the various shutdown schemes of Hydrogen Unit, FCCU complex, DHT unit.
* Throughput increase Support: In order to increase the throughput beyond 100 % capacity in the various unit of the refinery, complete Piping support and vibration monitoring of critical piping system of the unit undertaken and resolution provided where required.
* PTA Reactor Transfer Line vibrations: A study and Analysis carried out for the vibrations seen in the Reactor transfer line (Patalganga Petrochemical Complex). Reports on recommendations for vibration attenuation has been send for implementation.

20) A few of the critical Piping Systems analysed and field audited are given below:
* A complete Field Audit of 100¡¨ Vacuum Transfer line in the Crude Distillation Unit along with Bechtel Team for Debottlenecking Project in the unit. The Transfer Line had 100 numbers of Piping Hardware installed which were checked in field which included Big Ton Springs, Sway braces, Snubbers and Variable Spring Hangers.
* A complete Analysis and Field audit with Shell Global Team of the High Pressure and High Temperature Piping system connected to the New Guard Bed Reactor in the VGO unit-debottlenecking Project.
* Analysis and field audit Piping systems connected to Hot Pumps, Exchangers, Filters and Air Fin Fan coolers of Crude distillation and VGO unit. Bechtel Corp. UK reviewed the analyses of these systems.
21) Presently Working on:
* Piping Stress Analysis of High temperature critical Piping systems of FCC Unit, Delayed Coker Unit and Aromatics Complex for the debottlenecking Project.
* Preparation of Departmental Work Procedures for preparation of ISO certification
* Development of suitable Belleville Washers to be used with the Flange joints to prevent Flange Leakage in the High Pressure and High Temperature Piping Systems.
B) Duration: 1998 March - 1999 March
Worked as Lead Piping layout Engineer and had complete responsibility of Work Quantum estimation, Man Power Planning, Work scheduling required for execution of the Tankages expansion project in the Rail and Road Terminal Farm area of the Refinery complex. The work involved piping layouts for 8 nos. of new tanks, 1 no. of LPG sphere, 16 pumps, provision of new spur in rail gantry and additional loading arms in the Road loading stations as per OISD norms and Bechtel work Procedures and Specifications for the Refinery. The responsibilities included mainly:
* Preparation of Study Piping Layouts, Plot plans, Vendor Drawings and complete interface control with various Interdisciplinary Agencies involved.
* Preparation of Piping Specification, Technical Specification of valves, piping components, & Special material
* Preparation of Piping layout scheme, Tie-in scheme finalisation and issue of complete Piping deliverables in the form of GA's (100 nos.) and system isometrics for job execution.
* Piping and Support MTO preparation and Control.
* Preparation of distribution diagram for utilities and Pipe Sizing.
* Complete site support for resolution of Site Engineering Queries arising during job execution.
* Conversant with Statutory regulations and OISD Norms like STD114, 118 and IRI recommendations for spacing in Refineries/ Petrochemical units.

C) Duration: 1996 July - 1998 March
Company: Ispat Industries Limited
Worked as Project Engineer for the 354 MW Captive Power Project for the Integrated Steel Complex situated at Indian west Coast at Dolvi, Raigad in Maharashtra.
* Responsible for Site coordination activities and mobilization of Contractors for Site enabling works.
* Coordination with the Project consultants M/s DCL (Development Consultant limited) for Governmental clearances for the power Plant project, M/s WAPCOS (Water and Power Consultancy) for the feasibility study of Seawater Intake and Outfall facility for the Power Plant.
* Coordination for establishing the Power requirements of the steel Complex and other Project information required by the EPC supplier M/s ABB Germany for the Power Project.
* Responsible for generation of Executive summary Reports for the Project progress, Rolling Plan and Project presentation for the Financial Institutions.
* Coordination works with the Consultants and Government agencies for obtaining the statutory clearances for the Power Project.
