Work Experience
2006 - Present: Land Administrator, Addison, Texas
Responsibilities includes Manage, assist and perform duties relative to the input of all land record information into land system as to set-up and maintenance of all oil and gas leases and other land contracts.
Analyze title to create divisions of interest and manage curative requirements for Division Order Title Opinions, including DO maintenance and transfers. Supervise, assist, and review work of Lease/DO Analysts.
Monitor contract/lease obligations; analyze/interpret contracts to insure proper/timely obligation payments.
Provide responses to inquiries from and work closely with Land, Geology, Operations, and Accounting Departments.
Manage company's system to coordinate land-mapping programs as requested by Management, Landman, Geologists, and Geotechs; create ad hoc reports as requested. I am self-motivated with ability to work efficiently, set priorities and interface with royalty/working interest owners, partners, and in-house staff.

1996 – 2006 Executive Land Manager / In-House Landman for Petroleum Land Service, Dallas, Texas
Responsible for start-up of a new business line for PLS. Staffed and managed exploration and production subsidiary from 1996 to 2006. During this time period, PLS participated in over 100 drilling prospects with a 45% success ratio. Staff consisted of geological, Contract Landmen, and Engineering professionals. In 2001, the company achieved full operating status including a district exploration office in Dallas, TX. Prospects were generated and evaluations made in the geographic areas of East Texas, North Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Upper Texas Gulf Coast, Colorado, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
The exploration subsidiary was liquidated as part of a re-organization of PLS. in early 2004. The company elected to emphasize refining and other downstream operations. PLS sold their working interest to vast independent producers. Prepared data packages and managed sale of producing properties, leasehold, and undrilled prospects as part of termination of business line until my job placement in Addison.
1991 – 1996, Land Manager Trans Pecos Resources, Corpus Christi, Texas
Managed reorganization and recapitalization of an independent public company during a major down cycle in the oil industry. Required intensive negotiations resulting in dissolution of limited partnerships, sale of assets, restructure of rig leases, conversion of debt to equity, and reduction and control of general and administrative expenses. Personnel were reduced from 50 to 12 without affecting viability of company.
Concurrent with restructuring, negotiated with several merger candidates. Used available assets of cash and materials on hand to increase reserve base and cash flow.
1986 - 1991, Field Landman for J & R Drilling + Contract Landman for Hire
Responsible for all exploration and production operations of company, including contract-drilling subsidiary, J & R Drilling Land Department, geology, production, and contract drilling were under single management. Company purchased and operated two 10,000-foot drilling rigs. Developed considerable new reserves in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Developed and promoted prospects to industry partners. Managed settlement of several legal problems related to company operations. Managed exchange of limited partnership units for PLS common stock resulting in major reserve additions and cash flow. Exchange was on a tax free basis and reduced overhead of company by elimination of limited partnerships, while working as field Landman and in-house Landman 4+ years plus experience Responsibilities included negotiating and draft land agreements, exploration agreements, JOA's, farmins and Farmout, full title work, leasing, damage settlements and land brokering, experience in Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma/Arkansas/Colorado.
