An accomplished mechanical engineer with experience in project management, design, and operation of oil and natural gas pipelines, including contract management, field engineering, material selection, and hydraulic system analysis.

* Project Management experience with construction of large and small bore pipelines including new pipelines, pipeline relocations, directional drilling, pipeline facilities;
* Strong knowledge of pipeline design codes, construction and safety practices, experienced field engineer on pipeline and pipeline facility construction projects;
* Design experience with pipelines, combined-cycle power plants, pulp mills and ability to work in both EPC and operating plant environments;

PEMBINA PIPELINE COPORATION, Calgary, Alberta, October 2006 – Present

* Performed duties as the Mechanical Project Engineer working directly under Project Manager for the Horizon Pipeline Project ($400 million), including, but not limited to:
o Line fill calculations, development of loop tie-in procedures and strategies, review of HDD designs, stopple/bypass designs, station piping and layout designs, aided in analysis of system hydraulics and cathodic protection design, material selection, participated in weekly design meetings, prepared summaries of overall project costs;
* Provided support services, coordinated preliminary hydraulic analysis, designed cost comparison graphs, for the preparation of the Pembina Fort Hills Dilbit Pipeline Proposal; and
* Acted as Project Manager and Project Engineer on various small to medium sized station projects ($1 million or less).

* Designed and standardized Colt Pipeline Division pipeline design calculation spreadsheets, including, but not limited to, buoyancy calculations, wall thickness calculations, HDD pipe stress evaluation, induction bend design;
* Participated in the construction of the Pembina Pipeline Corporation Algar to Cheecham pipeline project. Specific duties included, but not limited to:
o Designed and coordinated drafting for the Algar pig launcher trap;
o Prepared Material Requisitions (MR) for typical pipeline materials;
o Managed and reported on progress of sub-contractors;
o Redesigned Cheecham tie-in piping to allow for internal inspection;
* Participated in the design, procurement, construction, and management of the Pembina Pipeline Corporation Horizon Project. Specific duties included, but not limited to:
o Prepared right-of-way configuration drawings for contract bid documents;
o Drafted Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) for project;
o Coordinated HDD preliminary drilling program for the Athabasca River Loop;
o Advised on required Temporary Work Space (TWS) needed for construction;
o Reviewed typical pipeline design calculations for accuracy and correctness; and o Attended weekly project update meetings.
* Project management of Mildred Lake Bladder Surge Tank Installation project for Pembina Pipeline Corporation; and
* Reviewed contractual requirements and prepared test procedure for the capacity determination test for Stage 3 of the Alberta Oil Sands Pipeline (AOSPL), operated by Pembina Pipelines.
