I am a Completions Engineer based in Houston, Texas with 30 years total experience. This includes extensive experience in completion and workover design offshore and onshore, covering the tendering process through design and field supervision. Internationally I have worked in the North Sea, the Flores Sea, the South China Sea, the Caribbean, the Persian Gulf, and central Asia. Domestically I have worked extensively in the Gulf of Mexico and south Louisiana.

My last overseas assignment was planning and overseeing all aspects of well completions in the rain forests of Sumatra, Indonesia. Although the job was based in Jakarta, much of my time was spent on location supervising single and dual gravel pack completions of oil wells. Part of my job description involved training and mentoring Indonesian personnel. My most recent position involved evaluating and designing interventions in Oklahoma for BP. I have worked as part of a team designing all aspects of completions for extended reach horizontal wells in Far East Russia for ExxonMobil. This involved intelligent completions, expandable tubulars and horizontal gravel packing. My current position involves evaluating and designing interventions in the Gulf of Mexico for The Houston Exploration Company. I have conducted deep-water well tests from floaters in the Flores Sea and the South China Sea.

The ability to work within teams has been a prerequisite on every project. I have expose to drilling operations and a rudimentary knowledge of facilities, log evaluation and waterflooding. I am computer literate and my passport is current.

Qualifications Summary:

- Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University.

- Progressively responsible experience in domestic and international operations, to include sand control, frac-packing, acid stimulation, tendering, artificial lift, coiled tubing, fracturing, perforating design, snubbing, drill stem testing, filtering and solids free completion brines.

- Extensive experience supervising field operations on jack-ups, platforms and land rigs in straight and highly deviated wellbores.

- Experienced in preparing AFE's and conceptual planning studies for a series of international, multi-million dollar projects including scheduling, budgeting, tender specifications and bid evaluation.

- Well-organized and experienced at troubleshooting, implementing optimal solutions and preparing comprehensive plans and procedures for well completions and workovers.

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, capabilities in supervising and training technical personnel.

- Computer literate.

Performed a variety of engineering tasks as required by clients.

- Designed frac procedures for new, hard rock, horizontal wells in the Fayetteville shale for Southwestern Energy.

- Responsible for planning of all phases of completion design for extended reach horizontal wells on Sakhalin Island, Russia. Includes expandable tubulars and screens, optimum tubing size and threads, conceptual designs, cost estimates, risk analysis.

- Responsible for planning, logistics and supervision of all phases of completions on Sumatra, Indonesia. Defined tender specifications, analyzed bids, prepared procedures and AFE's, supervised fieldwork. All wells gravel packed. Position based in Jakarta for Santa Fe Resources.

- Designed frac workovers in Oklahoma for BP.

- Designed ESP's for Shell.

- Evaluated drilling equipment and practices onsite in Republic of Uzbekistan for Enron Oil & Gas joint venture feasibility.

- Established database of existing wells in Siberia while on location for Occidental joint venture. Analyzed problems and suggested solutions.

- Advised on workover procedures and conducted sour gas DST in open horizontal hole, Occidental Pakistan.

- Devised a comprehensive feasibility study to develop a shallow gas field in Mobile Bay.

- Developed plans, procedures and budget analysis for workovers and new completions for the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa.

- Planned completion and workover operations in the Gulf of Mexico for a series of operating companies: The Houston Exploration Company, Tejas Gas, Mitchell Energy, Elysium Energy, Nerco Oil & Gas, Pennzoil, Scana Petroleum Resources, Mariner Energy, and British Gas. Procured necessary equipment and personnel. Filed paperwork with government regulatory agencies. Supervised field personnel and managed all aspects of operation.

Troubleshooter for international drilling department on techniques, procedures and mechanics of completions; including stimulation, sand control, ESP's and completions in high-angle wellbores. Involved frequent international travel.

- Designed unique technique for deepwater completions on tension-leg platform with flexi-float risers.

- Developed procedures and plans for coring well operations in Colombia.

- Directed gravel packing of chalk producing formations in underbalanced conditions, eliminating well and facilities downtime, the North Sea, Norway.

- Reduced rig operating time by changing completion equipment and procedures in highly deviated wells, the North Sea, Scotland.

- Eliminated flash fires and prevented platform shut-in by quickly initiating procedures to repair wellhead leaks, offshore Trinidad.

- Initiated, planned and supervised completion of Gulf of Mexico platforms with as many as three gravel packs in a single, high-angle wellbore.

Production Engineer 1974 to 1979

Responsible for proposing and supervising remedial work and maximizing production in the Gulf of Mexico and inland water fields. Forecast reserves and production for annual budget reviews. Supervised offshore drilling and workover operations.

- Acted as advisor to ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia, generating and analyzing data for reservoir model study.

- Prevented rig workovers and by washing sand plugs in production strings with coiled tubing and non-damaging brines.

- Increased flow rates by cutting off water production with through tubing bridge plugs.
