BINANI ZINC has the most modern and state of the art technology process plant controlled by HONEY WELL TDC - 3000 DCS, SIEMENTS S5/S7 series PLCs & Eurotherm Suite SCADA System.

This plant consist of Fluidized bed Furnace, DCDA process Sulphuric Acid plant and Waste Heat Boiler, supplied by Ms LURGI GMBH of GERMANY and ABB make 475 KW steam Turbine Generator, fully controlled with EUROTHERM ( T 940 Process Supervisor ) SCADA SYSTEM.

Zinc Sulphate leaching and purification plants with online analyzers technology supplied by UM, Belgium & Pneumatic conveying systems, weighing and batching system supplied by SCHENCK.

Electrolytic deposition of Zinc on cathodes takes place here. Plant has SIMATIC S5 PLC controlled cell crane with high position accuracy for cathode transportation supplied by LURGI, GERMANY AND SIEMENS 115 U PLC controlled Zinc Cathode Stripping Machine supplied by TELCO, ITALY and also a Zinc cathode transportation system supplied by KOBO, GERMANY, Electrolysis is using a 160 KA thyristor controlled rectifiers of ABB & NGEF.
Melting Plant
Zinc Metal refining and Casting plant with SIEMENTS 115 U PLC controlled AJAX, EUROPE make induction furnace and METPRO, UK INGOT casting and stacking machine and Zinc dross recovery plant supplied PONTZEN, GERMANY.
Alloy Plant

Recently Binani Zinc in collaboration with the MAZAK OF UK, Commissioned a new Zinc Dye Casting Alloy Plant in Binani Zinc on 20.02.2007. The name of the joint venture is BINANI-MAZAK Ltd. The capacity of the plant is 10,000 MT per year. The product is fully export oriented.

The department comprises of Diesel power plant, Water treatment plant, Demineralised water plant, Auxiliary Boiler House, Compressor House, Effluent and Sewage Treatment Plant.

As a Manger (Production), I am currently reporting to Deputy General Manager (Production) and is responsible for leading a team of four engineers.
In addition, I am identifying process gaps for enhancing Productivity, Quality and Safety, Assisting for planning, Scheduling and Implementation of Quality Improvement Jobs, Preventive and Predictive maintenance jobs of various equipment and process optimization jobs.
Identifying areas of improvement and recommending process modifications to enhance operational efficiencies.
As a team leader as well as a member of various sub-committees of TPM, I am responsible for effective implementation and continual improvement of TPM related activities in the plant for improving productivity and to achieve zero down time.
