- Working in Linear Low Density Polyethylene Plant of Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. as Deputy Manager – Manufacturing acting as Process Shift Incharge and achieving the targeted production with the design specification norms against sales demand.
- Ensuring smooth running of the plant without violating SOP & Health-Safety-Environment guidelines.
- Managing trouble-shooting of process & quality problems in the plant and take corrective measures.
- Making prompt decisions during plant emergency and plan for quick recovery of the plant in case of shutdown.
- Coordinating with Quality Control department for consistent quality product & Service Dept. for Predictive, Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance and condition monitoring.
- Handling the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures for various process operations, checking of P&ID, simulation of Interlocks and start-up/shutdown sequence checking of the DCS logics.

- Process Engineering & Operations of modern 300KTA Petrochemical Plant with LLDPE & HDPE Polyethylene Swing-Plant Spherilene Technology from Basell, Italy.
- Startup/shutdown & optimization of polyethylene plant, its troubleshooting and handling of emergencies such as power failure, steam failure, etc.
- Safe plant operation & control from DCS Panel using TDC 3000 TPS-GUS of Tata Honeywell, as well as from field.
- Simulating operating behavior and optimization of equipments like distillation column, heat exchangers, etc. and condensation temperature calculation using simulating packages like Design II for Windows and ASPEN Plus.
- Operating Liquid Phase Loop Reactors & Fluidized-bed Gas Phase Reactors.
- Handling & operating 3.5MW Centrifugal Compressors from Nuovo Pignone, Italy, for fluidizing gas phase reactors, 10T/hr Reciprocating Compressors from Japan Steel Works, Japan, for recycling gas to the reactors, Twin-screw 6.9MW Extruder from Japan Steel Works, Japan, for under-water pellet cutting.
- Refrigeration Package using Screw Compressors from Sabroe, ISG Drying Bed packages, Extruder Additive Metering package by KTRON, Catalyst Metering package from Hydroservice.
- Lean Phase & Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying System using Screw Compressors from Zeppelin.
- Process interlocks checking, stroke checking of control valves, leak-testing of various hydrocarbon gas handling lines and vacuum systems, equipment/line flushing and drying for complete hydrocarbon & hazardous material removal, trial runs of pumps & compressors, column internals inspection and checking.
- Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures, Control Logic / field modifications for product quality improvement, energy saving, operation convenience and safety enhancement of plant.
- Implementation of various schemes/modifications along with Licensor to de-bottleneck the plant for capacity enhancement from 100% to 120%.
- Basic knowledge of SAP R/3 PP & PI module for creating notification.

- Implemented various in-house plant modifications so as to operate the polyethylene plant at 120% capacity utilization with on-spec product.
- Received award for giving the idea of "Oil flushing in liquid additive metering system in LLDPE Extruder" and its successful implementation.
- Received award for giving the idea of interlock modification in propylene purification column.
- Successfully completed the Small Improvement Project for reduction of non-prime & off-grade material production during product grade changeover from 71601S grade to 73204T/73005T grade in LLDPE plant.
- Awarded "Performance Par Excellence" award while representing Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. in Chapter Convention of Quality Circle (CCQC) 5S Regional Level Competition organized by Quality Circle Forum of India, Kolkata Chapter.
- Received "Excellence" award while representing Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. in National Convention on Quality Circles (NCQC) National Level Competition organized by Quality Circle Forum of India, Kanpur Chapter.
- New polyethylene grades developed according to customer requirement viz. HDPE grades M5005L & M5025L and LLDPE grade 71601D, were stabilized in my shift without any previous operating data.
- De-bottlenecking of LLDPE plant throughput by reducing depressurization time of Piff-Puff system by increasing depressurization line diameter.
- Significantly reduced plant downtime and Off-Grade production during product family change-over by modifying startup & grade change-over EODs and EOCs.
- Successful trial of new Ziegler-Nata catalyst Z-230 from Basell under Licensor guidance.
- Successfully implemented 5S in Extruder area of LLDPE plant as Area Leader.
