Position: Procurement Engineer - New Build Rig Project

* Use visibility and other available reports to identify expediting requirement
* Plan and organize daily contact requirement and execute plan
* Record schedules progress, shipping and receiving information in visibility
* Issuing special expediting reports as required
* Occasionally visit supplier's facilities to verify order status or to review corrective action.
* Coordinate QA releases of major equipments
* Coordinate shipping with traffic
* Take positive steps when possible to improve vendor performances as demanded by schedule
* Apply economic pressure on suppliers in conjunction with buyers as appropriate.
* Issue Non-conformance reports on sub-standard performance warranting corrective measures
* Run Expediting reports and reviews results with Project management
* Execute receiving transactions in visibility
* Sourcing of Equipments, Materials and Identification of Suppliers for Projects and Bid purposes.
* Preparation of tendering packages.
* Evaluation of tenders and selection of supplier based on technical competency and competitive pricing.
* Negotiate commercial issues, delivery matters as well as terms and conditions with suppliers.
* Interacting with Suppliers to identify technical issues and liaise with engineering to resolve them.
* Providing support and services to the projects.
* Coordinating all expediting activities and inspection of equipment using third party expeditors and gain approval from engineering to release material after receipt of inspectors/expeditors reports.
* Coordinating all shipping and customs activities.
* Co-ordinate shipment of Goods between site, forwarder and supplier.
* Negotiate with suppliers on all back-charges and liquidated damages prior to closing out of the orders.
* Prepare financial forecasts and gain approval of expenditure.
* Preparation of Procurement Plan for projects.
