Senior Petroleum Engineering Technologist with 25 years of experience in the Industry having graduated with Honours in Petroleum Engineering from SAIT, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Additionally, I have received extensive industry and in-house training throughout my career; Workplace Safety, CPR, First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems, HUET, H2S Alive, First and Second Line Supervisors Blowout Prevention, Well Services Supervisors Blowout Prevention, Oilfield Quality Control, Oilfield Corrosion Control, Oilfield Water Technology, Project Management, Retail Management, Sales and Marketing and many Well Servicing Specialty Services training programs.
Presently, I am contracted to TNK-BP in Russia as a Coiled Tubing & Workover Specialist charged with overseeing all Coiled Tubing operations. The primary goal of this position is to assist local management and operations personnel in-order to gain the maximum possible cost benefit from these services. My duties include, but are not limited to, liaison between the service providers and all TNK-BP stakeholders, review and revision of work programs, review and revision of contract agreements, Wellsite Supervision, training and knowledge transfer, and establishing procedures and SOP's specific to each regions needs. This also includes participation at the strategy, planning and execution phases of projects such as Grass Roots Coiled Tubing Drilling, Underbalanced Coiled Tubing Drilling, Sidetracking conventionally and with Coiled Tubing and pilot projects involving Radial Drilling technologies.
On a daily basis I am involved with the ongoing Workover and Coiled Tubing operations primarily in the Orenburgneft division of TNK-BP, providing supervision and consultation on all manner of Workover, Frac, Acid and Coiled Tubing interventions. This posting has evolved into a multidiscipline position as my skills, broad based knowledge and varied experience have become recognized and further utilized by my Russian colleagues. I have also been identified as key participant in TNK-BP's future plans for developing Coiled Tubing Drilling and Underbalanced Drilling in their Russian operations. In January of 2008 I was be transferred to the Drilling sector specifically established to plan, manage and execute the pilot projects for these technologies.
Prior to my position with TNK-BP I worked with a Russian/Canadian consortium supplying equipment and personnel to SurgutNeftaGaz, in Surgut, Russia, undertaking a Coiled Tubing Underbalanced Drilling project. My position was as a technical advisor, trainer and Wellsite supervisor for all aspects of under balanced drilling with coiled tubing. The measure of success, for this position, was to train the SNG personnel to levels of proficiency that made our personnel redundant. This goal was achieved in approximately 18 months.
Previous to my position with SNG I was in Algeria serving as a Field Manager/Supervisor with BJSP in Hassi Messaoud. I was responsible for the BRN field base, managing the daily operations of a fleet of Specialized Wellservicing equipment including 2 Coiled Tubing units, 2 Nitrogen pumping units, 2 Cementing/Acidizing units, and an array of support equipment. My duties included Supervision, training and management a staff of 20 operations personnel, ensuring the highest possible quality of service to our clients in the district; AGIP, BHP, Burlington and BP, meeting regularly with these clients to provide Technical/Engineering assistance and expertise when and as required.

My field experience includes; Coiled Tubing, Fracturing, Cementing, Acidizing, Nitrogen, Down Hole Tools and involvement in various complex drilling and well servicing technical procedures in Canada, the USA and internationally in North Africa, the North Sea and the Former Soviet Union. This has provided me with a very strong understanding of the processes, policies, procedures and alliances involved in the modern petroleum industry on a worldwide and regional scale.

2004 - 2006 UBD / CTU Drilling Engineer / Supervisor, SNG, Surgut, Russia
In July of 2004 I joined a group, contracted to SurgutNeftaGaz, providing equipment and personnel to carry out an Underbalanced Coiled Tubing Drilling project. My position, as CTU Drilling Engineer, includes all the usual duties of an onsite Coiled Tubing Drilling Engineer. In addition, I am charged with training the Russian National's in all aspects of the operation from site preparation, rig up, drilling operations, equipment operation, rig down and transport of the equipment. The equipment package consists of, a purpose built Coiled Tubing Drilling Rig, Underbalanced fluids handling separation equipment, a Nitrogen pumping unit, a drilling fluids pumping package, a complete well control package and all the ancillary equipment included with a conventional cold weather drilling operation.
